The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the forgery of a check. A Summerville man came to the sheriff’s office to report that his step-daughter had forged a $250 check drawn on United Community Bank in Summerville. The complainant was able to show the deputy a copy of the forged check and also verify that the handwriting was very similar to his step-daughters. The incident has been turned over to an investigator.
