New U.S. Attorney For Northern District Of Georgia Sworn In

Ryan K. Buchanan has been sworn in as the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. U.S. District Judge Thomas W. Thrash, Jr., administered the oath of office in a private ceremony.  President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., nominated Buchanan to be the U.S. Attorney on November 15, 2021. The U.S. Senate confirmed his nomination on April 27, 2022.

Pilot Ag Education Program Going Statewide

Young Farmer Vidalia Onions Here Friday

Each year, the Chattooga Young Farmers host a Vidalia Onion sale to raise money for the local chapter.  Vidalia Onions are a Georgia Grown product – in fact, Georgia is the only place a Vidalia Onion can be grown!  If you placed an order for onion, the Chattooga Young Farmers will have them ready for distribution this Friday, May 6th from 10 AM until 5 PM at Pine Ridge Outdoor Supply in Lyerly.  You can pick up your onions at the hay shed at Pine Ridge on Friday.
