More Information About Child Sex Sting That Nabbed Two Chattooga Suspects

Over the weekend, the Floyd County Police Department announced that they had arrested several men who were caught in an online child sex operation where police officers posed as underage children and the men agreed to travel to Floyd County for sexual activity.  Two Chattooga County men, one of them a teacher at Lyerly Elementary School, were arrested in the sting operation.

More Than 2 Million Wreaths Placed On Veteran’s Graves Saturday

National Wreaths Across America Day took place on Saturday at 3,136 participating locations across the country. Our nation’s heroes were remembered as each name was said aloud and honored as over 525 truckloads of wreaths were delivered – representing 390 different carriers, including Northwest Georgia’s Mohawk Industries – and over two million volunteers, a third of whom were children, helped placed more than 2.4 million veterans’ wreaths on headstones of our fallen across the country.
