The likelihood of a “White Christmas” for Chattooga County and surrounding areas is very low this year. In fact, we can pretty much safely say that unless there is a major disruption in weather patterns over the next several days, we will probably have “typical” or even slightly warmer weather than usual for this time of year.
The City of Summerville will hold its regular December City Council Meeting this evening at Summerville City Hall at 5 PM. You can see the full agenda for tonight’s meeting below.
Beersheba Presbyterian Church will present a Christmas Cantata on December 19th in the 11 AM service and again during a candlelight service at 5 PM that evening. The service will also be streamed on Facebook. Everyone is invited to attend.
Once again this year, you can take the short trip to Alpine and be transported back in time to the first Christmas in Bethlehem. The live nativity includes Mary, Joseph, the baby Jesus, shepherds and plenty of live-animals. Goats, sheep, cows and even camels can be seen at the live nativity. There is no charge for the live nativity. Alpine Church members say it a free gift to the community at Christmastime. This year, the live nativity will be held Thursday, December 23rd – Saturday, December 25th.
Central Avenue Baptist Church will have a Christmas Cantata at 10:45 AM on December 19th. Pastor Brandon Bishop invites everyone to attend.
