CARTERSVILLE – Crews opened two left lanes of I-75 southbound in Bartow County south of exit 296. All I-75 southbound lanes were closed last night after a tractor-trailer damaged the Old Grassdale Road overpass.
The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) has been notified of a Georgia resident currently in New Jersey who has tested positive for COVID-19 and the Omicron variant. The individual recently traveled from South Africa and was in Georgia for two days before traveling on to New Jersey where the testing and sequencing were done.
MRS. SHIRLEY ANN MOORE WILLINGHAM, age 84, of Fish Hatchery Road, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 2, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Cedartown, Georgia on April 21, 1937, a daughter of the late Lonnie Britton Moore and Harriet Katherine Adams Moore. Mrs. Willingham was a Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother; was an avid golfer and former member of Trion Golf Club. She was member of Summerville First Baptist Church, the Fidelis Sunday School Class, and the Joy Club of the Church. Mrs. Willingham was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, the late Babe Lee Willingham and a son, the late Stan Willingham.
Mr. Gregory Doyle Trammell, age 43 of Trion, Georgia passed away suddenly Friday, December 3, 2021 at his residence.
