Chattooga County residents who were summoned to serve on the Traverse (trial) Jury for February 13, 2023 won’t have to show up. Chattooga County Clerk of Courts Kim James says that the jurors are released from their summons and do not need to report. Only the Traverse Jury for February 13, 2023 is cancelled. There will be a Blood Assurance blood drive this Wednesday at Mount Vernon Mills in Trion. Those planning to donate blood should drink plenty of fluids including juice or water. The commission overseeing the regulation of medical marijuana will be voting on rules for the program on Wednesday of this week.
