Lawmakers in Atlanta heard from the Georgia Division of Family & Children Services as the General Assembly got underway in Atlanta.  DFCS workers say that one problem that needs to be addressed is the number of children forced to stay in hotels – a practice called “hotelling” – because no foster homes can be found for them.

Senorise Perry Accepts Coaching Job At Wofford College

Senorise Perry has accepted a coaching position at Wofford College in South Carolina.  The Chattooga High School alumni and former pro-football player will be running backs coach at Wofford.  Perry spent seven seasons in the NFL with the Bears, Dolphins, Bills and Titans from 2014-20. Wofford College is on a 175 acre campus in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It is one of the few four-year institutions in the southeastern United States founded before the American Civil War that still operates on its original campus.

Pedestrian Struck In Rome Dies In Hospital

The Rome News Tribune reports that a pedestrian who was struck by a truck and knocked off the Second Avenue Bridge Thursday afternoon died overnight, and police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, according to Rome police.
