As of Thursday, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there have been more than 1.2 million confirmed coronavirus cases in Georgia, along with 22,354 deaths and 80,648 hospitalizations since the pandemic began.
The Summerville City Council will be holding their regular monthly meeting coming up on Monday, October 11th. According to a public notice that was posted this week, the council will be considering a request for a sign ordinance variance for DIRT, a retail business located at 9881 Commerce Street. Owner, Heather Casey is asking the council for permission to paint a mural on the side of the building. The public is welcome to voice their input at the meeting.
