Gov. Brian Kemp recently recognized three corporate forest landowners for their stewardship and land management practices benefiting wildlife across Georgia. CatchMark Timber Trust, Georgia Power and Weyerhaeuser are the agency’s 2021 Forestry for Wildlife partners.
The Town of Trion will have a Special Called Council Meeting Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 6:00p.m. The meeting will take place in the Town Hall Conference Room.
The purpose of the Special Called Meeting:
1. Confirmation for Replacement Employee at Public Works.
2. Discuss Re-Roof Bids for Town Hall.
3. Tree Removal at Tavern and Simmons Street.

WHAT: Weather permitting, GDOT Maintenance crews in northwest Georgia will close the Highway 299 onramp to I-24 east while they repair a portion of the interstate.

Mrs. Lisa Ann Chandler, age 71 of Trion, Georgia passed away suddenly, Monday, June 7, 2021 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.
WHAT: Weather permitting, GDOT Maintenance crews will be resurfacing a portion of I-75 Wednesday in Gordon County. The work will shut down the right southbound lane. Motorists should expect delays.
