Fence Damage Reported To Sheriff’s Office

According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, a property owner in Trion reported damage to an electric fence.  A responding deputy spoke with Frank Bandy of Bandy Dairy Road who said he was out checking his cows when he found the damage to the fence.  The damage was estimated around $300.  The responding deputy said that the damage could have come from an accident that had happened in the area.

Lyerly Civic Club Selling Quilt Raffle Tickets

The Lyerly Civic Club is selling $1 raffle tickets for a Christmas Quilt that was made by Carolyn Johnston.  The Lyerly Civic Club says that all of the proceeds of the raffle will go to the Lyerly Civic Club Scholarship Fund.  The Lyerly Civic Club gives scholarships to graduation seniors from Lyerly.  Tickets for the quilt can be purchased at Lyerly Town Hall or from Lyerly Civic Club members.  The drawing will be held on September 26, 2020.
