The Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “Virtual Lunch & Learn” this week. The Chamber has suspended their monthly lunch meetings indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The “Virtual Lunch & Learn” will be taking the in-person meetings place for the foreseeable future.
Stephanie Searce with Georgia Northwestern Technical College will be the guest for the first Virtual Lunch & Learn.
Chamber Director Cindy Rivers-McGraw says, “She will give us an update on how GNTC is navigating the COVID crisis and what upcoming courses may be of special interest to Chattooga County businesses and residents. Stephanie may also be joined by Kimberly Crowe, who is a new addition to the economic development staff.”
The chamber director added, “Since mid-March, the Chamber has halted our monthly luncheons. Early on we offered Zoom meetings to our business community to help guide them through the CARES Act funding, opening safely, and, most recently, how to add online shopping models to your business. We plan to host a monthly Virtual Lunch & Learn, in the form of a Zoom meeting, until we can meet safely in person again. We may throw one in every two weeks if there is a topic about which the community urgently needs to hear. Feel free to tune in during your lunch hour. Video and audio may be turned off during the meeting so that you may enjoy your privacy. If there are topics you would like for us to cover in future Lunch & Learn’s, please let us know.”
You can contact the Chamber Director at 706-857-4033.
