The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is updating its protocols for isolation and quarantine during COVID-19 to allow individuals to vote in person Tuesday, Nov. 3. The protocols are in accordance with recommendations and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
As of November 1st, the Chattooga County Library is now officially part of the Sara Hightower Regional Library System. The Chattooga County Library’s locations in Summerville and Trion join locations of the regional library in Rome, Rockmart, Cave Spring and Cedartown.
Georgia gas prices decreased at the pump compared to a week ago. Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $1.95 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. Monday’s state average is 3 cents less than a week ago, 5 cents less than last month, and 48 cents less than this time last year.

Trion United Methodist Church will have their Brunswick Stew available Saturday, November 7, 2020. It is $7 per quart. The stew will be ready around 10:30 a.m. Please pick the stew up from the fellowship hall (under the awning) before 1:00 p.m. We usually sell out so the stew is sold on a first come first serve basis.
