The Auto Club group advises drivers to be aware of risky driving habits with the end of daylight saving time. Georgians will gain an hour of sleep but will face additional risks to their morning and evening commutes thanks to earlier sunrises and sunsets, which could cause a disruption to sleep cycles. AAA warns these combined factors can greatly increase risks for car crashes in the coming weeks.
The Northwest Georgia Department of Public Health is reminding residents that free COVID-19 testing is available on Tuesday’s from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM at North Summerville Baptist Church, located at 119 Maplewood Drive in Summerville, each Tuesday. Today is the last day to vote early in the General Election. Already, over 50% of Chattooga County’s eligible voters have cast their ballots early. The Registrars Office will be open for early voting today from 8:30 AM until 5 PM. Be sure to bring a picture ID when you come to vote. If you don’t cast your vote today, you can vote on Tuesday, November 3rd. Polls will be open from 7 AM until 7 PM on Election Day.
