
A spokesman from the Georgia Department of Transportation says that new bridge at Chelsea Creek on Old Highway 337 is much safer than the old bridge that was replaced.

October 1, 2020 marked the official kick-off for the Toys for Tots 2020 holiday campaign running through Christmas. U.S. Marines and volunteers will be conducting 810 local toy collection and distribution campaigns in all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, and U.S. Virgin Islands, and includes a local Toys for Tots Drive in Northwest Georgia.

Georgia Power’s typical residential customer using 1,000-kilowatt hours per month, will receive an estimated $13 credit on their Georgia Power bill this month. This reflects implementation of a one-time $61.6 million credit for customers, approved in September by the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC), as a result of Georgia Power’s 2019 financial results.
