Menlo Christmas in the Park

The City of Menlo will host Christmas in the Park at Lawrence Park on Monday, December 17 from 6 PM to 7 PM.

Santa will be on hand to greet the children, and light refreshments will be served.

Attempted Kidnapping in Calhoun

This past Sunday evening Calhoun Police were called to a location on Carter Street after an attempted kidnapping.
According to the police, two women were in the vicinity of the Calhoun Lodge where a man reportedly tried to get one of the women to come with him by stating he had a gun.
When the woman screamed for the other woman he fled toward East May Street.
The suspect has not been captured yet.

Tillotson Foundation Gives Grants to Cherokee County Park Board, Other Local Organizations

Centre Native Serves as Casket Bearer for President George H.W. Bush
