A number of local residents have recently been contacted by someone calling claiming to be with Medicare – and they’re asking people for the numbers on their NEW cards which were issued this year. Area residents have reported that the scammers are claiming to want that number on your new Medicare Card, so they can allegedly “activate” it.
The Chattooga High School FFA is selling great selection of Pansies, Violas, Snapdragons and a few Dusty Millers grown in their greenhouse this year. The greenhouse will be open today from 8-1:30 and 3:30-5.

On Thursday, December 6th, there will be a detour open house to discuss the Georgia DOT’s proposed project to replace the bridge on Old Highway 337 over Chelsea Creek. The meeting will be held from 5-7 PM in the Menlo City Hall.
Today is the last day of advance voting for Georgia’s two runoff elections at the county Registrar Office. It will be open to voters from 8:30 AM through 5 o’clock PM.
