New Hope North Baptist Church presents The Christmas Story on December 17th at 6:00 pm. There will be refreshments and gifts for all children attending after the play. Everyone is welcomed to attend!
Trion United Methodist Church will have their Brunswick Stew available Saturday, December 2nd. It is $9 per quart. It is on a first come first served basis. Reminder calls do not guarantee stew will be available. You may pick up your stew around 9:30 a.m. thru 1:00 p.m.
Also, the United Methodist Men will have a Bake Sale with a selection of cookies, brownies, fried pies, cakes and other goodies.
Lyerly First Baptist Church will be presenting their live nativity event, “A Walk Through Bethlehem”, coming up on Saturday, December 9th from 5- 8 PM. Second Baptist Church will be having an 83rd Church Anniversary service on Sunday November 26th at 11am. The special guest will be Pastor Melvin Mosley from Harmony Baptist Church in Summerville. Pentecostal Power Ministries will be giving out plates again this year at Dowdy Park on November 18th from 12:00-2:00. The plates will have Turkey, dressing, green beans, potatoes, roll, and a bottle of water.
There’s Hope for the Hungry will be at South Summerville Baptist church on Wednesday November 15th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Must pick up in person.
There’s Hope for the Hungry will be at Central Avenue Baptist Church in Trion this week on Thursday, November 9 to give away free groceries. Come between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to get your free groceries. No ID is required. But you must be present to receive the food. Central Avenue Baptist Church is located at 14074 Highway 27 in Trion!
Recovery Alive is a faith based 12-step program beginning Thursday, November 2nd & continuing every Thursday there after. It will be the only faith based program in Chattooga & Walker counties. It’s for anyone with a hurt, habit, or hang-up.

The county-wide fifth Sunday night singing will be held this coming Sunday, October 29th at 6 PM at New Spirit and Truth Church located on Scoggins Street in Summerville. Everyone is invited to attend.
