The Summerville Recreation Department announced yesterday that they are extending the deadline for spring sports registration until Monday of next week. The deadline was originally supposed to have been today.
The Trion Recreation Department will offer T-Ball for 3 and 4 year olds. This Co-Ed sport will have registration March 4-16. Fees will be $25 for non-resident players and no charge for city residents. A copy of the child’s birth certificate should be presented at registration. Age control date is May 1st. This means a child must be 3 years old before May 1st and not older than 4. No 4 year olds will be allowed to play up. Call 706-734-2011 with any questions concerning this league.
The American Red Cross says that there is a severe shortage of blood and will be hosting a blood drive coming up tomorrow at Chattooga High School.

The Chattooga County Library Board of Trustees will hold their rescheduled quarterly meeting Monday, February 25th, 2019 at 5 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Summerville Library, 360 Farrar Drive, Summerville
The Chattooga County School System has recently partnered with Amazon and Purposity Program (purpose + generosity) to help students in need. Purposity is a program that helps community members find purpose through generosity and gives them the opportunity to anonymously help students through an online portal.
