The Chattoogaville Volunteer Fire Department has announced their annual meeting. This year, the annual meeting will be held on Sunday, February 25th at 3 PM at the Chattoogaville Fire Hall on Highway 114. All residents of the Chattoogaville area are encouraged to attend.
Mt Vernon Mills, Trion, GA, will sponsor a Blood Drive Wed Jan 31 from 6AM through 5PM. The community is invited to participate along with our employees.
Please bring photo ID and drink plenty of water prior to donating. Donors will receive a T-Shirt and light refreshments provided by Mt Vernon Mills and Blood Assurance.
Blood collected by Blood Assurance stays in our Tri-State area serving hospitals in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
Appointments are not necessary but are available if preferred by signing up online at www.bloodassurance.org/mvm.

The Chattooga County Pre-K Program is currently accepting applications for the 2018-2019 school year. To qualify children should be four-years old by September 1, 2018 and reside within the school district. Classes are located in Summerville, Lyerly and Menlo. The Chattooga County Library Board of Trustees will hold their next quarterly meeting Tuesday, January 23, 2018. The meeting will take place at the Summerville Library and will begin at 4:30pm.
