The Trion High School Football Team will be hosting the Trion Youth Football Camp coming up next month.  The event will be for youth ages 5-13 and will be held at Sam R. McCain Stadium in Trion.  The camp will be taught by Trion High School football players and coaches.  The dates for the youth football camp are July 19-21 and will begin at 6 PM each evening and go until 7:30 PM.  Parents can register their child on the first day of camp between 5 PM and 6 PM.  The fee is $30 and includes a camp t-shirt.  Payments should be made with cash or check.

The Trion Fire Department will be hosting their third annual Community Day coming up next Saturday, May 27, 2023.  This year, the fire department is selling Boston butt plates, consisting of meat, baked beans, potato salad and a drink of your choice – or – you can purchase a whole Boston butt for $45.  For more information, call Justin Lowe at 706-591-9637 or Brannon Martin at 706-331-7784.

Mentone, Alabama’s Rhododendron Festival will be taking place this weekend on Saturday, May 20th from 10 AM until 3 PM.  The event will featured 30 artisans to display photography, oil paintings, handmade jewelry, and more. The weekend Farmer’s Market will also be part of the festivities.
