Mentone, Alabama’s Rhododendron Festival will be taking place this weekend on Saturday, May 20th from 10 AM until 3 PM.  The event will featured 30 artisans to display photography, oil paintings, handmade jewelry, and more. The weekend Farmer’s Market will also be part of the festivities.

The Chattooga Young Farmers will have their May meeting on May 22nd and it will feature Bill Bryan as speaker.  Mr. Bryan will be talking about maximizing cattle profit.  A steak dinner will be served for $7.  If you plan to attend, you should contact Chattooga County Young Farmer Director Lauren Jarrett at LJarrett@chattooga.k12.ga.us

The Chattooga Athletic Booster Club has announced the Second Annual Golf Tournament to be held in June at the Trion Golf Course.  The event will take place on Saturday, June 3rd with a 8:30 AM morning start and a 1:30 PM afternoon start.  There will be a cash prize for first place and lunch will be provided.  Preregistration is taking place now at the Trion Golf Course or by contacting Hollis Siffles at 706-859-8119.

The Trion Fire Department 3rd Annual Community Day is coming up on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

The Chattooga High School 1973 Sub-Region Champion Celebration & Recognition will take place on Friday October 13th during the Chattooga vs Trion game.  A reception will be held at 5pm in the high school cafeteria.  The team will be recognized prior to the start of the game at approximately 7:20 pm.

The Chattooga Lady Indians softball team will have a BBQ fundraiser this coming Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Judy’s Herb Shop Parking Lot.  They will start selling BBQ at 10 AM until it is sold out.   A sack lunch is $8 and will consist of a pulled pork sandwich, chips, a Little Debbie cake and a drink.
