Country and Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member William Lee Golden and his sons ‘The Goldens’ are set to appear at The GEM Theatre in Calhoun, Georgia on Saturday, September 24 at 7:30 pm.
The Subligna Community Center will have a Fundraiser on Saturday September 24th from 11:00am to 3pm at the Subligna Community Center. A barbeque lunch will be served and the North Georgia Cruisers will be there with some beautiful cars. The public is invited to attend.
A newly formed veterans group, the Veterans Committee of Georgia, is meeting at the Lafayette library on the 3rd Thursday of each month. They are a group made up of veterans & their families. They would like to invite anyone who would like to join or just like more information to come to a meeting.
Center Post Community Center will host its free music night on Saturday September 17th and will begin at 7pm. They will have Instruments of Grace as well as For Love or Money performing on stage. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Community Center is located at 8125 Highway 337 in LaFayette, Georgia.
The descendants of John Wesley and Nancy Bowman Smith will gather at Menlo park on Sunday, September 25th at noon for our annual family reunion. Everyone should bring a covered dish. Any questions please contact Betty Wentz at 706-862-2772
The Chattooga High School class of 1982 is planning a forty-year reunion in October. The reunion will be held at Sweet P’s at the Tavern in Trion. Social hour will be at 6 PM and dinner will be at 7 PM. The cost is $30 per person. Those attending are being asked to RSVP by September 23rd. Payment is due by September 30th.
