Drug Free Chattooga is hosting an event titled “Escape The Vape!” on September 20th at 7pm at the Chattooga County Civic Center. 87% of Chattooga County was surveyed and said that vaping is a huge issue for our kids.
Four quilts will be given away this Sunday at the Chattooga County Fair to honor some of our local veterans. The quilts will be presented on Sunday at 3:30pm on the Smith Iron Works Stage to the following veterans:

The North Georgia Cruisers will be having a car show on Saturday September the 3rd at the Chattooga County Fairgrounds located by the Ag Center. The show will take place from 8am until 4pm. Admission to the show is free. The fee for exhibitors will be $25. All proceeds raised from the show will go towards buying Christmas gifts for 150 children here in Chattooga County.
There will be a Labor Day Gospel Fest on Monday September the 5th at the Cloudland Community Park from 10am to 2pm Eastern time. The free admission event will be sponsored by the Cloudland Volunteer Fire Department. BBQ plates will be sold for $10. There will be an open mic for gospel music and sound equipment will be provided. Everyone is welcomed to attend.

The Trion High School Marching Band announces their Fall Fundraiser “Fill your freezer fundraiser”. For $20 you get a chance to win 1/2 a locally raised cow processed and ready for your freezer. There will be 2 winners who each win one half of a cow. They are only selling 550 tickets so supply is limited. See a Pride Of Trion band member to purchase your ticket before they are all gone.
The drawing will be November 17th and pick up will be Nov 22 or 23 at the Trion band room.
The Center Post Community Center will host its free music night this Saturday August 20th and will begin at 7 PM. Center Post Community Center will welcome New Grass Express as well as Dr. Ted Scoggins performing on stage. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Community Center is located in Walker County, just north of the Teloga Community at 8125 Highway 337 LaFayette, Georgia.
