Three Opportunities To Meet Santa In Summerville This Weekend

If you have little ones ready to tell Santa what they have on their Christmas list, there are three opportunities to see Santa Claus in Summerville this weekend.  The first will be at the Summerville Christmas Parade on Friday evening.  The second will be at the Chattooga County 4H Breakfast with Santa at the Chattooga County Ag Center on Saturday.  As of Tuesday morning, there were a few tickets still available.  Contact the Chattooga County Extension Office for ticket information.  The third opportunity will be Sunday afternoon from 1 PM – 4 PM at 292 East Washington Street in Summerville.  Santa’s visits on East Washington Street are always free and open to anyone who wants to come by.

Trion Heights Baptist Church Live Nativity Scene Dec 7-21

Trion Heights Baptist Church presents “Jesus . . . The Light of Christmas . . . The Light of the World”, a drive thru Live Nativity with over 52,000 Christmas lights synched to Christmas music. The event will run nightly Dec. 7 – 21st from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. There is no fee as this is their gift to the community. Pastor Vernon Johnson and the members invite the community to attend.

Trion United Methodist Church Brunswick Stew & Bake Sale

Trion United Methodist Church will have their Brunswick Stew available Saturday, December 3rd. The price is $9 per quart and is sold on a first come first served basis. Reminder calls do not guarantee stew will be available. You may pick up stew around 10:00 a.m. thru 1:00 p.m on Saturday.

Also, the United Methodist Men will have a Bake Sale with a selection of cookies, brownies, fried pies, cakes and other goodies.

Spots Still Open For Holiday Wreath Class

Chattooga Young Farmer Director Lauren Jarrett says that there are still a few spots open for the Young Farmer’s Holiday Wreath Class that will be held on Tuesday, December 6th at 6 PM at the Chattooga County Ag Center.  The class includes all supplies and a light supper.  If you are interested, contact Lauren Jarrett at ljarrett@chattooga.k12.ga.us

Center Post Second Annual Country Christmas Craft Show

Center Post Community Center will hold its Second Annual Country Christmas Craft Show on Saturday November 26, 2022 from 10 am – 3 pm EST. More than 30 Craft and food vendors and more. Polar Express Coming To Chattooga Library

The Chattooga County Library in Summerville will be having a movie night on Friday, November 18th and will be showing the movie “Polar Express”.  Children can come in their pajamas and bring a blanket and pillow to watch the movie. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served before the movie. The library is located at 360 Farrar Drive in Summerville.

Center Post Community Free Music Night

Center Post Community Center located at 8125 HWY 337 LaFayette, GA will be having a free music night Saturday November 19th, 2022 from 6 pm- 8 pm. Blackberry Winter Bluegrass Band and Philip Wells and The Just One Band will be performing on stage. Concessions will be available for purchase. Everyone is invited to attend.
