On Friday Nov. 29 from 11 AM till 3 PM (Central Time), Santa and Mrs, Claus will be posing in authentic period clothing for you to take free children’s pictures at the Mentone Log Cabin Village. The town will be having open house all that weekend with free cookies and treats.

Trion Masonic Lodge # 160 will be selling Brunswick Stew Saturday Morning November 16th for a donation of $7 per quart or $27 per gallon. This is the lodge’s annual fundraiser and all donations are appreciated.
The Chattooga County Democratic Party will hold its final meeting of 2019 on Monday, November 18at the Summerville Senior Center, beginning at 6pm. This meeting will include a pot luck dinner with an entree provided. Please bring your favorite side dish or dessert, as well as any interested friends and family to enjoy some excellent home cooking and fellowship.

The Chattooga High School Chorus will host their 5th Annual Block Party & Car Show coming up tomorrow, Saturday, November 9th at the Showa Glove Mill parking lot, located near the four-way stop in Menlo.
My Kids Have Paws, a low cost veterinary service, will bring their mobile unit to Summerville GA on Wednesday, November 20th.
Thursday, November 14th, Modern Woodmen of America will be having a free Lunch for all local Veterans. This will be held at Sweet P’s in Trion and it will start at 12:00 noon. We ask that they call and make their reservations for that day. Their guests and Modern Woodmen members will pay $5.00 for lunch.
