Floyd Medical Center will hold a free lifesaving training event at Harvest Worship Center in Trion Wednesday night at 7 PM.
Chattooga High School will host Title I Family Science Night coming up on Thursday, February 27 from 4-6pm. Come join in for hands-on STEM & Science activities for the whole family. They will have experiments and activities, Star Lab and door prizes! Star Lab will be set up at the gym.

Chattooga County’s Young Farmers will hold their February meeting next week on Thursday, February 27th at 7 PM at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center. The featured speaker for the event will be Cindy Rivers from the Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce. The event is sponsored by Pine Ridge Outdoor Supply in Lyerly. The meal will consist of steak, potatoes, bread, salad and dessert for $7 per person. If you plan to attend, please call Lauren Jarrett at 706-252-4266. Due to a death in Mrs. Hartline’s family, non-mandatory drop in practice for the Miss Chattooga County Pageant this Sunday February 23rd,2020 has been canceled. Non-mandatory drop in practice has been rescheduled for Friday February 28th 2020 from 4-6pm at CHS. Application deadline has also been extended until then as well.
The quarterly meeting of the Chattooga County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will be at the Chattooga County Civic Center on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. All current members and elected officials are encouraged to attend. Guest speaker will be Dave Nadler, National Weather Service, about severe weather planning.
