On Wednesday of last week Summerville Police responded to a report of a theft. Officers spoke with the complainant, Rickey Johnson at a North Curran Street address. Johnson said that he had loaned several tools to a subject and the person would not return the tools. The tools in question included a DeWalt drill, some prybars, sockets and various other tools. Also, Johnson said that he had loaned the subject a cell phone that the man would not return. Also, Johnson said that the subject stole a sound bar and a Mossy Oak jacket. Johnson wanted a report to be on file about the theft and that he is willing to press charges.
Chattooga County EMA /911 was the recipient of a Walmart Community Grant in the amount of $1450. The grants are awarded through an open application process and provide funding directly from Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities to local organizations.
