A woman came to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office last week with a report about stolen medication.

A Summerville woman reported a theft on Monday of this week to the Summerville Police Department. The complainant told a responding officer that someone had stolen fence posts from her property on Vovie Drive. The responding officer went to a wooded area and observed where someone had taken approximately twenty-five fence posts and removed them from the ground. The complainant said she was going to install trail cameras in case the thieves came back for more posts. The complainant asked that a report be on file with the police department regarding the theft.

A Lyerly woman made a report to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office about a drone that is being flown often over her property.

The Georgia Grown Program, a division of the Georgia Department of Agriculture, is releasing a new ad campaign featuring Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper, Governor Brian Kemp, and First Lady Marty Kemp. The ad campaign highlights Georgia Grown specialty crops in season now and encourages viewers to take the “Georgia Grown Challenge” by comparing Georgia Grown products to any other state’s produce to taste the difference for themselves. The ad campaign features a 45 second spot as well as multiple 15 second spots that will run on digital platforms in metro Atlanta and other markets statewide beginning next week.
