Landon Stephens of Chattooga County is one of the newest graduates of Georgia Northwestern Technical College from the Electrical Systems Technology program. Stephens decided to apply for scholarships to help his academic endeavors. The result? He was the recipient of multiple that helped pay for his education in its entirety.

A Chattooga County woman has been arrested in connection with an incident that happened last month in Habersham County at Lee Arrendale State Prison. Leticia Erika Perry of Summerville is accused of hitting a corrections officer in a Ford F-15o pickup truck with her Lexus automobile and then fleeing from the scene on foot.

A fifty-year-old Summerville man was arrested on Monday of this week for shoplifting at the Dollar General Store on Commerce Street in Summerville. According to Summerville Police, Kevin Boykin stole several packs of tuna and three Mr. Goodbar candy bars from the store. The food items were valued at $16.77. Boykin was arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail on the misdemeanor shoplifting charge.

The Cherokee County, Alabama Sheriff’s Deputies and other departments were involved in a motorcycle chase Sunday afternoon.
