Resume / Job Search Workshop June 12th

The Community Resource Center of Chattooga County, along with Work Source Georgia, are sponsoring a Resume and Job Search Workshop coming up the second Wednesday of next month.  The workshop will be held at the Community Resource Center of Chattooga County at 50 Eleanor Avenue in Summerville from 11 AM until 1 PM on June 12th.  The workshop is open and FREE to anyone in Chattooga County and will help attendees learn more about resume building, job search and learning how to deal with “glitches” in your job history.  Anyone is welcome to attend and get help with their ongoing job search.

Theft Reported At Marvin’s In Summerville

Summerville Police are investigating a theft of merchandise from a local hardware and home improvement store.  According to a report released last week, the theft happened overnight between May 16th and May 17th at Marvin’s in Summerville.  Store employees say that someone cut a chain link fence and stole three pressure washers.  A review of security camera footage from the store proved inconclusive.  There was no value to the stolen equipment given in the report.  The incident is still under investigation.

Teloga Fire Department BBQ Lunch June 15th

June 15th from 10am to 2pm during The Teloga Community Yard Sale, the Fire Department will be serving up delicious BBQ lunches and selling whole pork butts for pre-order!
