Mrs. Peggy Grace Matthews, age 78 of the Mountain View Community, Trion, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Matthews was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on August 27, 1938, daughter of the late Virgil Payton and Dovie Harris Payton Kirkwood. She was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Matthews.
Mrs. Matthews is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Maggie Matthews; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Gary Sneed; sister, Greta Nicholson; grandchildren, Nathan Shrader, David Mattthews, Seth Matthews, Brittany Dover, Gary Sneed, Jr., and Levi Sneed; 3 great grandchildren; and special friends, Linda Richardson and Ann Barksdale.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Matthews will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Norton and Rev. Rickey Biddle officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Hughes, Terry Barksdale, Tracy Barksdale, David Matthews, Nathan Shrader and Gary Sneed, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ladies Sunday School Class of Mountain View Baptist Church, Linda Richardson, Ann Barksdale, Gay Simmons, Billie Milam and Other Earwood.
Mrs. Matthews will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. On Thursday, Mrs. Matthews will also be carried to the church to lie in state from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.

Mr. Troy Lee Wilkey, age 73 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Wilkey was born in Trion, Georgia on February 2, 1943, son of the late Herman Wilkey and Lola Wilkey. Mr. Wilkey retired from the Chattooga County School System where he was a bus driver, but he was also a Jack of All Trades, doing everything from mechanic work to carpentry and plumbing. He loved to fish and would trade on just about anything. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkey was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Kendrick, and brothers, Franklin Wilkey and Donald Wilkey.
Mr. Wilkey is survived by his daughters, Brandie Wilkey, Shannon Wilkey and Ann Ivey; grandchildren, Cole Ivey, Olivia McArthur, Trever McArthur and Jamysin Larmon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Mr. Wilkey’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service may be held at a later date.

Little Miss Acelan Allyanna Sills, infant daughter of Heather Alexandra Sill and Daniel Scott Milstead, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Floyd Medical Center.
Little Miss Sills was born in Rome, Georgia on August 25, 2016. She is survived by her mother, Heather Sills, father, Daniel Scott Milstead; brother, Leland Mullican; grandmother, Marie Sills; step-grandfather, Keith Roulane; Aunts Ashley Sills and Kylie Roulane, Uncles, Preston Sills and Dalton Sills; and a number of cousins.
Graveside and Interment Services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the West Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow next to her grandfather, David Sills.
Little Acelan Allyanna Sills will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M.

MRS. IDELLA EMMA DANIEL BLACK – Age 99, of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016. She was born on March 2, 1917 in Gayesville, Alabama to the late Charlie Walton Daniel and Birder Woodard Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mahue Black, six brothers, and three sisters. She was retired from Mann’s Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Black was the oldest member of West Fifth Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Barbara Jean Madden; two grandsons, Anthony Madden and Roderick Madden; four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Jewell Echols and Velma Adams; sisters-in-law, Eva Byron, Carrie Young, Annie Black, Evelyn Black; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; special thanks to her caregivers, Judy Loveless and Heyman Hospice of Rome, Georgia, and other friends.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 2:00 P. M. at the West Fifth Street Church of Christ, Summerville, Georgia with Bro. John Lewis and Bro. J. J. Bankston officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Summerville Cemetery.
