Mrs. Annie “Irene” Bartlett Obit (M)

Mrs. Annie "Irene" Bartlett, age 100, of Trion, GA, passed away Thursday,  July 28, 2016, with her loving family by her side, at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Bartlett was born January 10, 1916, in Ider, AL, daughter of the late William "Bud" Kirby and Lilly Crider Kirby.  She was the oldest living member of the Trion First Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, M.D. "Dave" Bartlett; an infant daughter; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

Mrs. Bartlett is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn and Howard Letner, and Nancy Weeks; a sister, Thelma Little; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bartlett will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, July 30, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Casey Bramlett and Mr. Jeremy McElhaney officiating.  Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Mrs. Bartlett will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday.

Mrs. Patricia Ann Barker Obit (C)

Mrs. Patricia Ann Barker, age 78 of Lee School Road, LaFayette, GA passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at her residence.  Mrs. Barker was born on January 18, 1938 in Trion, GA.  She was a Corrections Officer at Hays State Prison and attended Waterville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her husband, Joe M. Barker and her parents, Other Earl and Jessie Mae Anderson Powell.

Mrs. Barker is survived by her sons and spouses, Mike and Linda Barnette and Joe and Charlsie Barker; her daughter and spouse, Rebecca and Robert Clifton; her grandchildren, Jagger Barker, Cassie Gill, Lee Barker, Casey Carlton, Clayton Carlton, Heath Barnette, and Jax Barker; great-grandchildren, Logan Carlton, Hayden Carlton, and Cameron Carlton; special friends, Jo Ann Dover, Deborah Reeves, Cecelia Junkins, and Brenda Littlejohn.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the Petitt-Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Powell officiating.  Interment will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Barker will lie–in-state on Saturday evening, July 30, 2016 at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Goins, Charles Akery, Judge Barry Hollis, Randy Mikles, Dalton Curtis, and Robert Vanco.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Pete Coffman.

Mr. James Perry Lumley, Sr., age 57, of Menlo, GA died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Floyd Medical Center.
 
Mr. Lumley was born May 9, 1959, in Dublin, GA, son of Benjamin James Lumley and Amanda Hutchenson Lumley.  He was a graduate of Washington County High School in Sandersville, GA.  He was a member of the East Trion Church of God, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  Mr. Lumley was preceded in death by his paternal  grandparents, Rev. R.L. and Annie Mae Lumley; and maternal  grandparents, Charles M. and Mary Elizabeth Hutchenson.
 
Mr. Lumley is survived by his wife, Bobbie Hudgins Lumley; son, Jay Lumley, Jr.; daughters, Pam Lumley and Michaela Lumley; parents, Benjamin and Amanda Lumley; brothers, Joel Lumley and Chris Lumley; sisters, Celia Rhodes and Lisa Lumley; and 4 grandchildren.

Mr. Bobby Milton Housch, age 87 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

 

Mr. Housch was born in Summerville, Georgia on March 30, 1929, son of the late Milton Andrew Jackson Housch and Vesta Senada Justice Housch.  He was a member of the Trion Methodist Church, and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army.  Mr. Housch enjoyed  gardening and farming, and was retired from the Packing Department of Mt.

Vernon Mills.  Mr. Housch was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy J. Housch.

 

Mr. Housch is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Donald Smith and Martha and Emory “Bo” Gilmer; sister-in-law, Wyndoleen Housch; nephews, Andy Housch and George Smith; nieces, Peggy Luke, Sandy Mallicoat, Susan Copeland and Lejean Messer; and a number of great nieces and great nephews.

 

Funeral Services for Mr. Housch will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Skip Mitchell and Rev. David Autry officiating.  Interment will follow in the family plot of the Pennville Cemetery with Rev. Art Graves officiating.

MINISTER ALLIE ROCHELL PERRY BUTLER – Age 60, of Rome, Georgia passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at a local hospital. She was employed by Kelloggs Industries, was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, and was a graduate of East Rome High School and Cossa Valley Tech.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-one years, Walter Butler; son, Boyd Butler of Rome, Georgia; mother, Dorothy Ann Perry of Summerville, Georgia; brothers, Marcus (Sharronda) Thompson of Summerville, Julius W.
