Mrs. Regina Darlene McClain Obit (M)

Mrs. Regina Darlene McClain, age 57, of Huntsville, AL, died Monday, February 15, 2016, at Huntsville Hospital.

Mrs. McClain was born February 16, 1958, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Sonny and Shelby Thomas Butler.  She was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sonja Evans.

Mrs. McClain is survived by her husband, Greg Grisby; sons, Jeremy Brown, Dusty Brown, Chris Butler, and Chad Butler; a sister, Cynthia Butler; grandchildren, Landon Brown and Noah Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. McClain will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, February 19, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. McClain will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Friday.

Mrs. Helen Fain Adams Obit (Wright Memorial )

Mrs. Helen Fain Adams, 77 of Lyerly, GA passed away on February 14, 2016 after an extended illness. Mrs. Adams was married to the late Mr. John Adams. She leaves her five sons-Berwick(Sandra) Adams; Anthony (Julie) Adams, Timothy(Apostle Rhonda)Adams; Kenneth(Tammie)Adams; Marvin Ladell Adams; two daughters- Elaine(George) Johnson; and April(Tyrone)Scales; one sister-Addie Sanders; 14 grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-laws;1 brother-in-law; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2:00pm at Ponds Spring A.M.E. Zion Church with Rev. Anthony Brown officiating. The interment will be Ponds Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Melvin William Keen Obit (M)

Mr. Melvin William Keen, age 73, of Summerville, GA, died Friday, February 12, 2016, at Shepherd Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Keen was born November 1, 1942, in Trion, GA, son of the late Hubbard and Myrtle Bell Simmons Keen.  He was a member of the New Generation Christian Church of God, and prior to his retirement, was a self-employed carpenter.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bea Dempsey Keen; and a sister, Nellie Pearl Woods.

Mr. Keen is survived by his son, David Greeson Keen; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha (Robby) Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, James (Kathy) Keen, Charles (Tammy Gladney) Keen; sisters and brother-in-law, Ortha Ward, Lois Smith, Pluma (James) Orr, May Bell Broyles; grandchildren, Cain Smith, Abbigail Smith.

Funeral services for Mr. Keen will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Harkins officiating.  Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Smith, Scott Ward, Tony Ward, Chris Keen, Breck Keen, Shannon Keen, Cain Smith, Bobby Orr, Lee Broyles, Robby Smith, and Randy Broyles.

Mrs. Laura Lynn Mosher Obit (M)

Mrs. Laura Lynn Mosher, age 47, of  Mentone, AL,  died Saturday, February  13, 2016, at her residence. 
 
Mrs. Mosher was born October 7, 1969, in Dallas, GA, the daughter of Emma Mae White Gallimore and the late Byron Ernest Gallimore.  She was a home maker and a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church.  
 
Mrs. Mosher is survived by her husband,  Jeff  Mosher, Sr.;  mother, Mae Gallimore; step-sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey W. Jr. and Ashton Mosher, Chad C. and Julie Mosher;  sisters, Lisa Ann Eizaddoust and Tonja Mae Shafer; grandchildren, Emma Jo Mosher, Griffin Mosher, Kaelya Mosher, and William Mosher.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 15, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Green officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeffrey Mosher, Mark Foster, Chad Mosher, Stuart Foster, Brad Gallimore, Craig Foster, Kevin Gallimore, Roger Foster, and Keith Gallimore.

Mrs. Ashley Rebecca Avery O’neal Obit (M)

Mrs. Ashley Rebecca Avery O'neal, age 27, of Gaylesville, AL, died Monday, February 8, 2016, at her residence.

Mrs. O'neal was born April 3, 1988, in Fort Payne, AL, daughter of the late Brenda Annette Cooper.  She had been employed with Best Manufacturing.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, Mack Cooper; great-grandmothers, Ola Mae Tallent Sprayberry, and Frances Marion Cooper.

Mrs. O'neal is survived by her husband, Jonathon O'neal; daughter, Caytlyn O'neal; sister, Amanda Avery; grandmother, Willie Mae Cooper; and her dog, Snowflake.

Funeral services for Mrs. O'neal will be held at 1:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Saturday, February 13, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Berlin Murphy officiating.  Interment will follow in the Berea Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Gilbert Moreno, Daniel Bates, Matthew Jackson, Johnny Slayton, Josh Johnson, and Jeremy Whitlock.  Kenny Black will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Mrs. Marandy Louise Calaway Jennings Obit (C)

Mrs. Marandy Louise Calaway Jennings, affectionately known as “NaNa”, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Jennings was born in Cedar Bluff, Alabama on September 20, 1941, daughter of the late Frank Calaway and Clara Mae Jenkins Calaway.  She was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church and prior to retirement was employed with the Bosch Corporation.  Mrs. Jennings loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and going on the many “adventures of Thelma and Louise.”  She enjoyed arts and crafts, working in her yard, shopping and visiting people at the Nursing Home.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jennings was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frank Jennings and a grandson, Benjamin Jennings.

Mrs. Jennings is survived by her children, Joey and Jeffrey Jennings of Birmingham, AL; David and Cindy Jennings of Gainesville, and Melissa and Ron Finley of West Point, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Sandy Calaway of Ragland, AL and Chris and Linda Calaway of Trion, GA; sisters, Arline Womack of Lyerly and Pauline Kilgore of Trion; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren “with one on  the way”, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jennings will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Pettit Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating.  Private Interment will follow be in the Cherokee Memorial Gardens in Centre, AL

Pallbearers will be members of the Men’s Sunday School Class of the Dry Valley Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sally McPherson of Clouldand passed away on Sunday.  
 
She was born January 2, 1944 and was preceded in death by her parents Lee & Rose Brown, Grandson-Chad Clements and Siblings-Johnny Brown, Judy "Sis" Brown, Don Brown (Billy Faye) & Troy Brown.
 
Sally is survived by her companion Merle Sperber of Cloudland.  She is also survived by her daughters, Dana Clements and Jeff of Rainsville, Alabama and Kimberly Martin and PJ of Leesburg Alabama; her siblings: Pauline Holleman, Harry "Mitt" Brown, Virginia "Dub" Coker and husband Ed, Taylor "Charlie" Brown and Nancy, Joe "Dude" Brown and Mertis and Mike Brown; Grandchildren: Sable Smith, Jessica Green, Jerry McPherson & Nathaniel Clements (Kyla); Great-Grandchildren: Payton Chad Smith & Jocelyn Clements.
 
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 1 PM, Central Time,  at Burt Chapel Funeral Home in Valley Head, Alabama with internment at the Bankhead Cemetery at Mentone.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 3 PM until 8 PM, Central Time, at Burt-Chapel in Valley Head.
 

Mr Loyd James Bradford Obit (M)

Mr. Loyd James Bradford, "Granddaddy", age 82, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2016 at his residence in Gaylesville, AL.

Mr. Bradford was born in Jackson County, Alabama on September 19, 1933 to the late Wallace and Fannie Jane Bradford. Mr. Bradford was a retired truck driver, a loving Christian and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Gaylesville AL. "Grandaddy", as Loyd liked to be called, lived his life for the Lord and enjoyed traveling and camping, as well as spending time with family and friends. 

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sue Bradford, son Mark Bradford (Donna) of Gaylesville, and daughter, Joyce Hughes (Edward) of Gaylesville, step-daughters, Brenda Adams (Chris) and Sherry Hughes of Fyfe, AL and step-son, Anthony Hughes (Patricia) of Marino Valley, CA. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tiffany Gowens (Danny) and their children, Skyler, Braxton and McKenzie Blankenship, Heather Garrett (Adam) and their children, Chase and Caley, Lauren Mason (Jamie) and their children, Austin and Jase,  Brittany Hamilton (Andy) and their daughter, Zada, and Tyler Bradford (Macy) and their daughter, Tylee, Jason Adams (Amy) and their daughter, Addy, Latosha Sawyer (Pep) and their children, Kaliegh, Lallie and Ralleigh, sister, Elizabeth Haynes, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and his dog, Max. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon EST on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Mason Funeral Home of Summerville with Rev. Sanford DeBerry officiating with interment following in Pine Haven cemetery in Hollywood, AL. 

Active pallbearers are Tyler Bradford, Skyler Blankenship, Chase Garrett, Braxton Blankenship, Austin Mason and Jase Mason. The family would like to extend a special heart-felt thank you to the nurses and staff of Southern Hospice in Gadsden AL for their outstanding care and support during his illness.

Jay Hall of Hoover, AL passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016. He was born in Trion, GA on July 25, 1963.

Jay is survived by his wife, Laura Bjorklund Hall; sons, Alex and Andrew Hall; parents, Jimmy and Charlotte Hall of Trion, GA; and brothers, Scott Hall (Beverly) of Dalton, GA and Jeff Hall (Barbara) of Rock Spring, GA.

Mr. Buddy Leroy Reynolds Obit (C)

Buddy Leroy Reynolds, age 38, of Summerville passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening at a Rome Hospital.

Buddy was born in Marietta, Georgia on August 11, 1977, son of Janice Ann Cox Reynolds Sweet and the late Leroy “Buddy” Reynolds.  He was employed with Mt. Vernon Mills as an inspector and his greatest hobby was being a “Daddy”.  Buddy loved photography and enjoyed the outdoors.  He also was a lover of music.  In addition to his father, Buddy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Bill Cox, Boyd and Rena Lucille Barton and Doris Jean Fletcher; step-father, Wayne Sweet; and twin niece and nephew, Johnathan Lucas and Kalee Grace Mitchell.

Buddy is survived by his daughter, Stefanie Reynolds; mother, Janice Sweet; sisters, Lucy Reynolds, Rena Ann Carroll and Charolette Rush; brother, Tony Reynolds; nieces, Brittany Matney, Tabitha Christina Floyd, Serena Mincey, Madison Mincey, and MaKayla Mincey; nephews, Ethan O’Dell, Jadon Mitchell, Andrew Carroll, Andrew Rush and Devin Rush; extended family, Jeannie and Steven Lane; and special friends, Daniel Barry, Chris Fowler, Rodney Fowler, Randy Wilson and Tab Elkins.

Funeral Services for Buddy will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Subligna Cemetery.
