Mrs. Mary Frances “MeMaw” Williamson, age 82, of the Dickeyville Community, Summerville, passed away Wednesday, September 03, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Williamson was born in Guntersville, Alabama on March 8, 1932, daughter of the late John Ragan and Gladys Hunter Ragan. She was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church, loved to quilt, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by a brother, J.C. Ragan, and her step-mother, Lillian Ragan.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Williamson; son, Steve Williamson; daughter, Brenda Williamson; two grandchildren and their spouses, Stephanie and Stephen Williams and Calen and Clancey Cooper; one great grandchild, Scarlett Williams; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Williamson will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Stephen Williams, John Everett, John Everett, Jr. and Hayward Hunter.
Mrs. Williamson will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.

MS. LINDA FAYE LONDON PERRY – Age 60, Of Paterson, New Jersey passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the Hackensack University Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Penn London and Pearl Moore London, four brothers, Gregory Lamar London, Larry London, Dwight London, Joe Charles London and one sister, Edna London McCleod.
She is survived by her children, Torry Perry and Nakomis Perry; sisters, Malikah Abdullah Muhammed and Pearl Baker of Paterson, New Jersey; brothers, Arthur Charles London and Mark Anthony London of Summerville, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Connie Pope, age 68, of Trion, GA, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Pope was born January 4, 1946, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Harbin Edwards and Annie Mae Clark. She was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, she was employed with Mount Vernon Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Troy LaDon “Donny” Pope.
Mrs. Pope is survived by her mother, Annie Mae Pope, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pope will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 28, 2014, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Holman officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Tracy Shaw, Roger Wood, Terry Pope, Louis Clark, Mark Reed, and Dewayne Clark. MRS. RUTH WAITS PONDER HOWELL, age 93, of Smallen Road, Lyerly, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014, in the local rest home. Born in Polk County, Georgia on September 25, 1920, She was a daughter of the late George Stanley and Effie Coker Waits. Mrs. Howell was a member of Perennial Springs Baptist Church, and was retired from the sample department of the former Bigelow-Sanford Rug Mill. She was preceded in death by husband, the late Hillary Howell, Sisters- Edith McGraw, Faye Ozment, Carole Baker and Lodema Waits. One Brother- Kelsey Waits.
Surviving are- Daughter, Vivian Price of Lyerly, Son- Charles Ponder of Orange Park, Fla., Step-daughter- Gail Elrod of Summerville, Sister- Eddie Tinney of Summerville, Brother- Dudley Waits of Rockmart, GA. Eight Grandchildren, Fourteen Great Grandchildren, Four Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Toni Woods Tutton, age 78, of Summerville, GA, died Friday, August 22, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Tutton was born March 23, 1936, in Lyerly, GA, daughter of the late William Calvin and Liela Brady Woods. She was a member of the Summerville First Methodist Church. Mrs. Tutton was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was retired from the Chattooga County School System where she served as Food Service Director. She also pioneered the Childrens Caravan Early Learning Program with Vickie Williams Jarrett and served as the Summerville Elementary School Administrator. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tutton was preceded in death by her brothers, Mell Woods and Bill Woods; and half sisters, Ann Woods Cornish and Massena Woods.
Mrs. Tutton is survived by her husband, Charles Meredith Tutton; sons, Charles Randall Tutton, William Meredith Tutton; a sister, Sue Woods Hurley; grandchildren, Nickolas Tutton and Natalie Tutton.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 27, 2014, from the Lyerly Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randall Tutton, Bill Tutton, Nick Tutton, Eddie Hurley, Barry Hurley, Will Bowman, Tim Bowman, and Steve Jackson.

MR. WEYMAN W. HIGH, age 89, of Summerville, Georgia, Gore Community, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014, morning.
He was born January 9, 1925 in Chattooga County, the son of the late Flonnie Stephenson High and Enoch Ernest High. Mr. High was a 1943 graduate of Gore High School and served in the U. S. Army during WW II. Weyman married Mary Jackson in 1947, and they would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in September. Mr. High was employed by General Electric in Rome for 25 years and a member of the GE Retirees’ Social Club. Weyman continued to farm and raise cattle many years after his retirement from G.E. He helped organize the Gore Area Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as a volunteer fireman. He was a member, deacon, and church clerk for Unity Baptist Church, and was currently a member of the Summerville United Methodist Church,
Survivors include his wife, Mary; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and William Crouch; three granddaughters and spouses, Lindsey and Lance Brown, Whitney and Nate Rupp, and Christine Crouch; two great grandsons, Zeke Brown and Andrew Rupp; a number of nieces and nephews also survive as well as a special cousin, Kelli Renslow and other cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 25th, at 10:30 A.M. at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Austin, Rev. J. B. Cantrell, and Rev. Horace Stewart officiating, interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 until 10:30 A.M. at the Church.
