Mr. Byron Ernest Gallimore Obit (M)

Mr. Byron Ernest Gallimore, age 73, of Mentone, AL, passed away Friday December 6, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Gallimore was born November 14, 1940, in Austell, GA, the son of the late Marcus Raiford and Opal Gladys Bennett Gallimore. He was a retired farmer, builder, land developer, and a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Eleanor Foster, Barbara Lois Gallimore, and Sandra Frances Gallimore.

Survivors include his wife, Mae White Gallimore, daughters, Laura Lynn Gallimore Mosher, Lisa Ann Gallimore Eizaddoust, grandchildren, Ashton Mosher, Somer Eizaddoust, great-grandchildren, Emma Jo Mosher, Griffin Mosher, brother, Bobby Louis Gallimore and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday December 8, 2013, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Mann and Rev. James Braddy officiating with interment in the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Gallimore, Brad Gallimore, Keith Gallimore, Mark Foster, Stuart Foster, Craig Foster, and Roger Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Mosher and Chad Mosher.

Mr. Gallimore will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon Sunday until the service hour.

Mrs. Glenda Regina Bice Obit (C)

Mrs. Glenda Regina Bice, age 45, of Summerville, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Bice was born in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia on December 14, 1967, daughter of Ilean Johnson Martin Clark and the late Frank Edward Martin. In addition to her father, Mrs. Bice was preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Ilean Martin.

Mrs. Bice is survived by her sons, Chris Bice of Ringgold, GA and Brandon Bice of Summerville; mother and step-father, Ilean and Robert Clark of Chickamauga; a grandson, Charlie Davis; and a special friend, Ronnie Tucker.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Bice will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 3:30 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are asked to meet at the Coffman Funeral Home, Friday at 3:00 P.M.: Chris Bice, Brandon Bice, Ricky Stoker, Brandon Webb and Wes Love.

Mr. Samuel Leon Collins, 61, of Mentone, AL died Tuesday, December 3, 2013

at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

 

Mr. Collins was born March 29, 1952, the son Christine Stubblefield and the late

Leon Collins.  He was employed with Roper Corporation.

 

Mr. Collins is survived by his mother, Christine Stubblefield; sons and daughters-

in-law, Chris and Jennifer Collins and Garrett and Amanda Collins; daughter and

son-in-law, Emily and Mitch Gregory; sister, Leona Wimpee; and 14 Grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. EST Friday, December 6, 2013 at Mason

Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Beagles officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly

Springs Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Russell Wright, Mark Wright, Jesse

Crabtree, Stacey Bowman, Jim Rogers, and Jason Youngblood.

Ms. Cassidy Alexis Gardner Obit (M) corrected

Ms. Cassidy Alexis Gardner, 18, of Summerville, GA died Monday, December 2, 2013 from injuries received in an automobile accident.

 

Cassidy was born August 2, 1995 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, the daughter of

Jeffrey Lamar Gardner and Wendelin Secret Brown Atkins.  She was a graduate of

Trion High School and was currently attending Georgia Northwestern College.

Cassidy was a member of the Summerville Pentecostal Worship Center.  She was

preceded in death by her grandmother, Margaret Gardner, great-grand parents, Walter Nichols, Howard and Pauline Finster, Paul Gardner, Oliver and Evelyn Brown.

 

Survivors include her father and step-mother, Jeff and Tabatha Gardner; mother

and step-father, Wendelin and Christopher Atkins; brothers, Zachary Gardner,

Staven Gardner, Gunnar Gardner, Blaze Hughes, and Calvin Atkins; sisters,

Chloe Vavaliente, and Emarey Gardner; grandparents, Gary and Carol Brown,

Tommy and Judy Gardner; Beverly and Danny Guinn, and Reford and Gail Atkins; great grandparents, Betty Nichols, Foye Gardner, Madia Lou Kinsey.

Mrs. Bobbie Zula Ray Crane, 80, of Rinehart, AL died Tuesday, December 3, 2013

at the residence of her daughter in Pisgah, AL

 

Mrs. Crane was born July 30, 1933 in Rinehart, AL, the daughter of the late

Porter Alvin Ray and Ella Rhinehart Ray.  She was a homemaker and a self

employed house painter.  Mrs. Crane was preceded in death by sisters, Louise

Gaylor, Mae Nixon, Willie Lee Broome, and June Prestwood; and a brother,

Ernest Ray.

 

Mrs. Crane is survived by her husband, Charlie Crane; son, Charles Dean Crane; daughters, Deborah Carol Berry, Donna Cheryl Padgett, and Dana Charlene Leming; sisters, Bea Reynolds, Maggie Tallent, and Ruth Harris; brothers, George Ray, Alvin Ray, and Gene Ray; 5 Grandchildren; and 2 Great Grandchildren.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Crane will be held at 1:00 p. m. (EST) Friday, December 6,

2013  from the chapel of Mason Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Murdock officiating.

Mrs. Peggy Sue Ellenburg Obit (M)

Mrs. Peggy Sue Ellenburg, age 69, of Trion, GA, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Ellenburg was born February 15, 1944, in Menlo, GA, daughter of the late Eva Jones Sumner and Carl McKinsey Sumner, Sr.  She was a member of the Teloga Baptist Church and the Nancy K. Warren Cancer Support Group.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Blue Bird.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Copeland, Eloise Parker, and JoAnne Crider.

Mrs. Ellenburg is survived by her husband, Eugene F. Ellenburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Nancy Taylor, Corey and Amy Crabtree, Robbie and Judy Ellenburg, Jeff Ellenburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori Taylor and Randy Pirkle, Kelli and Lee Narramore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Jr. and Jane Sumner, Ralph and Opal Sumner; sister, Charlene Scoggins; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Teresa Ann McNeese Obit (C)

 Mrs. Teresa Ann McNeese age 61, of Summerville, GA passed away, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Ceenter. Mrs. McNeese was born on January 9, 1952 in Trenton, GA. She attended United by Faith Baptist Church and had been employed at Harriet-Henderson Mills. Mrs. McNeese was preceded in death by children, Ricky Lamar McNeese and Stephanie Jane McNeese; parents, Lester “Baldy” and Eule Jane Derryberry Whited; and brothers, Lamar Johns, James Lamar Johns, and David L. Johns.


Mrs. McNeese is survived by husband, Leroy McNeese; daughters, Robin (Kevin) Austin and Tammie Jean (Dennis) Mitchell; brothers, Bill Johns and Martin Whited; 5 grandsons, Bruce Hicks, Shawn Hicks, Austin Hicks, Bradley Bullard, and Travis Bullard; 3 great-grandchildren, J. W. Hicks, Savannah Hicks, and Georgia Hicks; number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 29, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. from the Petitt Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens.
