Mr. James Edward Vaughn, age 81, of Summerville, GA, passed away Friday at his residence. Mr. Vaughn was born July 23, 1930, in Walker County Georgia, the son of the late Ted Edward and Bertha Mae Tucker Vaughn. He was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Vaughn, Troy Vaughn, sisters, Myrtle Hughes, Edna Bryson, Jessie Dean, Ozell Caldwell, Beatrice Hicks, and was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Helton Vaughn, sons, Kenneth Vaughan, and Michael “Moto” Vaughn, sister Geraldene Middleton, brother, L.D. Vaughn, 3 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday May 3, 2012 from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lillard Stringer officiating with interment in the Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers, Kevin Vaughn, Jacob Vaughn, Josh Vaughn, Scotty Vaughn, Stacy Nixon, Joe Fay Denson. Honorary pallbearers, Olin Woody, Zeek Morrison, Steve Morrison.
Mr. Vaughn will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Judith Rebecca Watson, age 67, of Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Watson was born in Rossville, Georgia on September 27, 1944, daughter of the late John Ledford and Ruby Taylor Ledford. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Watson, Jr.; brothers, Glazier Ledford, Leonard Ledford, and Raymond Ledford; sister, Geraldine Lofty, and a son, Donald Seckinger.
Mrs. Watson is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Adele Watson, and Alison Faye Little; son-in-law, Scott Bennett; daughter-in-law, Treasie Eggerichs all of Trion; brothers and sisters-in-law, Luther (Bud) and Kathy Ledford of Chickamauga, Lonnie (Butch) and Karen Ledford of Florence, AL, and Leon Ledford of Lafayette; sister, Marie and Leonard (Sonny) Mayez of Chickamauga; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Watson will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wright and Rev. Bill Proctor officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dakota McGuire, Michael Watson, David Dean, Rusty Tucker and Bill Tapp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Duke Williams and Clarence Watson.
Mrs. Watson will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.

Mr. Arnold Spencer, age 72, of Hall’s Valley Road-Trion, Georgia passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, afternoon at his residence following a brief illness. Born in Campton, Kentucky on December 17, 1939, He was a son of the late John and Evelyn Collins Spencer. Mr. Spencer was retired from the Maintenance Department of Shaw Industries. Surviving are His wife-Barbara Spencer; daughters-Sandra Wilson of Tip City, Ohio and Lisa Spencer of Dayton, Ohio; sons-Stacy Spencer of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Scotty Spencer of Raleigh, N.C., and Steve Spencer of Dayton, Ohio; Nine Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews also survive. MRS. MARGARET L. WARREN, age 89, of Bittings Avenue-Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Floyd County, Georgia on August 5, 1922. Mrs. Warren was a member of Summerville First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by Her first husband the late Paul Easter. Surviving are husband Austin Warren, Jr.; daughter-Paula Easter of Summerville; grandson-Paul & Melissa Chamlee of Summerville; great granddaughter Avri Rose Chamlee; step daughter Denise Wyatt; step grandson-Stacy (Rick) Wyatt; step great grandson-Will Wyatt; sister-Betty Hendrix of Summerville; brothers-Earl Alred of Rome, James Alred of Summerville,and Eugene Alred of Colorado Springs, Colorado; several Nieces and Nephews. MRS. CORA I. TUCKER, age 88, of the Alpine Community, Menlo, Georgia passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, afternoon at Her home. She was born in Trion, Georgia February 13, 1924, daughter of the late W.H. and Dora Rape Spraggins. She was a lifetime member of the Alpine Community Church graduating from Menlo High School in 1942, where she played on the girls basketball team. She was a retiree of the sample department of Best Mfg. Company. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband, the late Roy Lesley Tucker; a grandson, Brian Avery Tucker; sisters, Ruth Della Monica, Charlsie Mae (Charlie) Miller, Louise (Shug) Martin, Beatrice (Pete) Hall; brothers, Julius (Duke) Spraggins, D.W. (Bawdy) Spraggins, Andrew (Snowball) Spraggins, and D.F. (Sike) Spraggins. Surviving are sons & daughters-in-law-Dennis & Jeannie Tucker and Ralph & Martha Tucker all of Menlo; grandsons-Shane Tucker, Jason & Rebecca Tucker all of Menlo; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
