Ruby Ersell Campbell, 94 of 72 Kinterly Drive in Cartersville, GA, formerly of Trion, passed away on Saturday May 23, 2009 in Cartersville.  She was born September 6, 1914 in Polk County, Georgia, daughter of the late William and Ida Bell Agnas Jacob.  She was retired from Mt. Vernon Reigel Textile and was Church of God.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Campbell, a daughter Francis Freeman, two sons, Tracy & Larry Campbell; grandson Rob Campbell; daughter in law, Sandy Campbell.

Survivors include: daughter, Ida Campbell, Ringgold, GA.; 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Hoyt and Bernice Campbell, Kodak, TN, Roy Campbell, Davenport, FL.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 25, 2009 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Bibberts officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetary.

Pallbearers are requested to meet at the Funeral Home on Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. and will be grandsons.

Mr. Merion McKenzie, age 82, of Trion, GA, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009, in a Rome health care facility.  Mr. McKenzie was born in Chattooga County GA, the son of the late Taylor McKenzie and Mary Smallwood McKenzie.  Mr. McKenzie worked for many years at Mt. Vernon Mills.  In addition to his parents, Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by his brothers, Conley McKenzie, Lee Gene McKenzie and James McKenzie.Survivors include a brother, Carl McKenzie; a sister, Thelma McKenzie Jones, both of Trion, GA; several nieces and nephews.  His extended family include the residents and employees of Chulio Hills Nursing Home.Graveside and interment services will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 11am in West Hill Cemetery in Trion, GA, with Rev. Mrs. Thelma Mae Meeler, age 82, of LaFayette, GA died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at her residence.Mrs. Meeler was born November 12, 1927 in Summerville, GA, the daughter of the late Bob Meeler and Neelie Nelson Meeler. She was a homemaker. 

Mrs. Meeler is survived by a sister, Mildred Louise Townsend, LaFayette, GA.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Silver HillBaptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Maynard and a daughter, SherryPickle.

Mrs. Betty Faye Cash Mcginnis, age 82, of Covington, GA (formerly of Chattooga County Georgia) passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009, in Covington,  She was born in Berryton, GA, July 18, 1926, a daughter of the late Alfred "Shorty" Cash and Arrie Lee Dendy Cash.  She was a member of the Honey Creek Baptist Church in Conyers, GA.  Mrs. McGinnis was a secretary for many years for a property management company and a proud member of the "Red Hat Society".  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Howard McGinnis; daughters, Susan Slayton and Rhonda Walker; brother, Jack Cash.  Surving are son & spouse, Jake and Ann McGinnis of Covington; sister, Harriet Carroll and brother, Sewell Cash of Summerville; 12 grandchildren; 22 Great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 19, at 11am, from the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home in Covington, with Rev. Vestor Maughon officiating.  Graveside services will be Tuesday at 4pm in the Summerville cemetery.

Mrs. Linda Faye Cothran , 68 passed away Monday May 18th at the Oakview Nursing and Rehab Center.  She was born December 4th 1940 in Polk County and was retired from Mohawk Industries and was a Church of God by faith. Mrs. Cothran was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Cothran, father and mother H. M. Walker, Jr. and Edna Benefield Walker and a sister, Jackie Jean Walker. 

 Survivors include her son and daughter-in- law , Roger Dale and Carey Cothran of Summerville, granddaughter, Ashley Cothran of Ft. Oglethorpe,grandson , Austin Cothran, of Ft. Alimae Petty  Smith , 79 of Boynton Beach, Florida  passed away peacefully with family at her side, Saturday, May 16th.  Mrs. Smith was born October 4th, 1929 in Blue Ridge, GA.   She graduated from Berry College in Rome and moved To Boynton Beach in 1954. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church, Boynton Beach , Florida

. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Robert Smith in 1993.  She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna, (Daniel) Cantway and Rebecca Hurd, 5 grandchildren, Dawn, (Jeffery) Banks, Danny and Devon Cantway, Austin and Erin Hurd, , and 2 great grandchildren, Garrett and Gavin Banks.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 6PM with the service at 6Pm at Westside Baptist Church 3711 Old Boynton Road, Boynton Beach, Graveside Service will be Thursday at 10AM in the Lyerly Cemetary with her nephew Mike Petty officiating .
