Mrs. Cynthia Pauline Crowe, age 88 of Gaylesville, AL passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Crowe was born in Floyd County, Georgia on August 15, 1920, daughter of the late Robert ?Bob? Dempsey and Francis Keith Dempsey. She was a member of the New Hope Independent Church in Jamestown, AL and prior to retirement was employed with Best Manufacturing. Mrs. Crowe is survived by her husband of 70 years, James L. Crowe of Gaylesville; Daughter and Son-in- law, Barbara and Odell Hammett of Gaylesville; Sisters, Sarah Jeneal Wilson, Michigan, and Bobbie Allison, California; grandchildren, Dale (Vickie) Hammett, Jeff (Danae) Hammett and Cindy (Billy Don) DeBerry; great grandchildren, Meagan Tabb, Josh Tabb, Jon Hammett, Katlin Hammett, Sydney Hammett, Lauren Hammett, Trey Deberry, and Emily DeBerry. Mrs.Mary Elizabeth McGraw, age 76, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday September 17, 2008 at Floyd Medical Center. Mrs. McGraw was born November 18, 1931 in Falkner, Mississippi. Mrs. Mary Ruth Blackwell 87 of Trion passed away Sept. 6th at the Oakview Nursing Home and Rehab Center. She was born June 19, 1921 in Chattooga County. Mrs. Blackwell was a homemaker and a member of Trion Presbyterian Church , an officer of Chattooga County Nursing Auxilliary. Mr. Terry Donald "Donny" Greene, age 62, of Lyerly, GA died Friday, September 5, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Greene was born June 9, 1946 in Trion, GA, the son of the late Joe Terry and Annie Gwin Crider Greene. Mr. Greene was a self employed mechanic and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd Greene, Leonard Greene, Scot Lee Greene, and Russell Greene, and a sister, Alice Marie Thomas.
Mr. Greene is survived by his son, Terry Donald Greene Jr., Trion, GA; daughter Lynn Greene, Henderson, TX; Fiance, Angela Scherry Par ker, brother, Wayne Greene, Lyerly, GA; sisters, Eula Story, Summerville, GA, Barbara Ann Harris, Trion, GA, and Elaine Jackson, Rome, GA; 4 Grandchildren, Justin Greene, Hanna Greene, Conner Vines, and Brittani White Vines.
