Mrs. Jewell Roberts Brown, age 93 of Trion, passed to her Heavenly Home, Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at a Rome Hospital.
Mrs. Sheree Cook Hurley age 64 of Lyerly passed away Monday- February 7, 2022 at Advent Health- Redmond.
Mr. Charles “Billy” Brown, age 90, of Trion, GA, died Monday, February 7, 2022, at Advent Health Redmond.
He was born in Floyd County on July 5, 1931, son of the late Roy H. and Stella Frances Ingle Brown.
Mr. J. T. Rich, age 92, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, February 6, 2022, at his residence.
Mrs. Shirley Ann Hubbard, age 75, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Advent Health Redmond.
MR. PAUL HARDEMAN, age 96, of Goodwin Drive, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Hardeman was born on January 26, 1926 in Sylvania, Alabama to the late Roy Jefferson and Mary Bankey Hardeman. He was a member of South Commerce Church of Christ, a Veteran of WW II a member of the 9th United States Air Force, serving stateside, in England, Germany, and Czechoslovakia, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was retired from United Postal Service as rural letter carrier and member of the National Rural letter carriers association. In addition to Parents, Mr. Hardeman was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jessie Ann Fletcher Hardeman and a granddaughter the late Amanda Blackwell Early.
Mr. Winford Lee “Buz” Busby, age 87 of Rome, Georgia, formerly of Summerville, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at the Winthrop Court Assisted Living Center.
Mrs. Peggy Lavon Richardson, age 82, of Trion, GA, died Thursday, February 3, 2022, at her residence.
MR. MARK ANTHONY UNDERWOOD, SR. – Age 68, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, January 28, 2022. He was born on October 21, 1953. He was preceded by his father, Edward Underwood, sister, Gail Underwood, brothers, James, Todd, Jerrod, and Ramon Underwood. He was a member of the World Church Of The Living God, and a graduate of Chattooga High School, and retired from the United States Navy.
(RETIRED) MASTER SGT. JAMES MICHAEL LESTER – Age 65, of Menlo, GA passed away Monday, January 31, 2022. He was born on March 17, 1956 in Summerville, GA. to the late Elder Robert “Bobby” G. Lester and Mary Ann Stamper, grandmother, Emma B. Stamper. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and a Retired Veteran of The United States Air Force.
