Mr. John Franklin “Jack” Anglin, Jr., age 83, of Summerville, GA, died Monday, September 11, 2017, at Kindred Hospital.
Mrs. Karin M. Cordle, age 62, of Trion, GA, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Floyd Medical Center.
Mr. Danny Ray Davis, age 69 of Summerville passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Dr. James E. Stephens, age 87 of Summerville, GA passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017.
Dr. Stephens was born in Flint, Michigan on May 25, 1930, son of the late James William Stephens and Marie Thorne Stephens. He was a member of the Trion Evangelical Presbyterian Church, was an Elder in the EPCA and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Navy. Dr. Stephens had a medical practice in Robbinsville, NC for many years prior to retiring to the Chattooga County area approximately 17 years ago. He was heavily involved in the community and spent countless hours helping to train emergency personnel and first responders in Robbinsville. Dr. Stephens was a devoted family man; loved woodworking, gardening, and bird watching. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Freda Alice Buckner Stephens on March 20, 2013; two sisters, Glenda Harper and Patsy Edwards and a brother, Charles Romines.
Dr. Stephens is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James Thomas “Jim” and Kathryn Stephens; daughter, Janet Susan Stephens; three grandchildren, James Francis Stephens, Jacob Andrew Stephens and Marie Hongwei Jennings Stephens; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services for Dr. Stephens will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. in the Trion Evangelical Presbyterian Church with Dr. William Flannagan officiating. Interment will follow at 4:30 P.M. in the Buckner Family Cemetery in Mars Hill, NC with Rev. Stanley Peek officiating.

Mr. Billy Gleamon Ezell, age 83, of Summerville, GA, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
WARREN H. BROWN, age 98, of Atlanta, Georgia formerly of Chattooga County, passed away Monday morning in Alpharetta, Georgia. He was born to the late Joe and Lillie Mae Grigsby Brown on March 18, 1919. Mr. Brown was a Sargent in the U. S. Army, serving in WW II and was retired dairyman for Ira Wilson Dairy. He was preceded I death by a son-the late Rickie Brown, a daughter, the late Kathey Johnson, and sisters, the late Elsie, Sara Jo, Ovelle, Dorothy, and Mildred.
Surviving are daughter & sons-in-law, Karen Brown & Duncan McRae and Tony Johnson; brother & sister-in-law, James & Martha Brown; grandchildren, Jason & Alison McRae, Cliff, Jamie, & Jake Johnson; great grandchildren, Jacey and Jack; two Nieces also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Minister Hugh Glaze officiating, interment in the Family plot of Summerville Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the Funeral hour at the Funeral Home.

William Franklin Roosevelt Rich, age 81 of the Spring Creek Community passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the residence of his daughter in Trion.
