CHARLES DUSTIN (BUCKY) WOOTEN, age 34, of Cloudland, Georgia passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 27, 2017, at his residence.
He was born in Floyd County, Georgia on June 14, 1983, a son of the late Vikki Lynn Brown Wooten and Joe Charles Wooten who survives. Mr. Wooten was a over-the-road truck driver.
Surviving beside His Father are son, Charles Preston Wooten of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; sister, Heather Dawson, and niece, Bluesy Harrell both of Summerville.
Memorial service will be held Thursday, August 31st, at 6:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Russell officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 P.M. until the hour of service.

Miss Mary Patricia Mason, age 74, of Summerville, GA, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.
George Walter Hubler, a 65-year resident of Lyerly, GA, died Thursday, August 24, 2017, at age 94. He suffered a long illness from Alzheimers disease.
Mr. Robert “Bobby” Johnson, age 50, of Fort Payne, AL, formerly of the Cloudland and Mentone Communities, passed away on August 18, 2017.

MRS. HUGHBELL HAMBY TUCKER, age 91, of Chelsea Community, Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 21, 2017, evening in a Rome hospice center. Mrs. Tucker was born in Chattooga County on November 22, 1925, a daughter of the late Hugh Lee and Margaret Ruth Wofford Hamby. She was a member of the Menlo United Methodist Church, retired secretary for the Chattooga County Cooperative Extension Service, served multiple positions on the Board of Directors of Camp Hamby, and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death, in addition to her Parents, husband the late Harmon Eugene “Gene” Tucker, and sisters, the late Margaret Thomas, Peg Hogg, and Nelle Adamson.
Surviving are daughter, Susan (Mark) Hegwood; granddaughter, Lindsay (Jeremy) DeHart; grandson, Marcus Chase Hegwood; great grandchildren, Jackson and Grayson DeHart; sisters, Jane Stokes and Joyce Hogg; brothers, Hill Hamby and Jerry Hamby; several Nieces and Nephews.

Mrs. Mary Lois Turnipseed, age 69, of Trion, GA, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017.
Mrs. Turnipseed was born January 23, 1948, in Trion, GA, the daughter of the late Fred Griffin and Dolly Roberta Maddux Padgett. Mrs. Turnipseed was a member of the Church of God at Rossville and was also an Evangelist for the Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Colby Tyler Thompson.
Survivors include her husband, Jackie Lee Turnipseed; daughters and son-in-law, Mary Leah Turnipseed, Carol Lynnette and Robert Thompson; brother, David Eugene Padgett; grandchildren, Justin Thompson and Kenneth Thompson; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Turnipseed will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lawrence Munoz and Brother Ed Matthews officiating. Ms. Janice E. Heavin age 65, of Allen Street, Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, August 18, 2017, in a Rome hospital. Born in Waycross, Georgia on May 28, 1952, She was a daughter of the late Rev. A. B. and Dalton Bowling Carroll. She was a member of the Church of God, was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation packing department, and was preceded in death bin addition to Parents, brother, Larry Carroll, and nieces and nephew, Bruce Carroll, Bradley Carroll, and Amanda Carroll.
Surviving are daughter & son-in-law, Summar Heavin & Brian Jones of Ringgold; sister, Della Mae Carroll; brother, James Carroll both of Summerville; grandson, Dracen Heavin-Jones; close friend, Tommy Henderson; several Nieces and Nephews.

Mrs. Audrey Kelley Ginnery, age 87, of Trion, GA passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Ginnery was born May 27, 1930 in Etowah County, AL to the late Reuben L. and Annie King Kelley. She was retired from Woolworth’s after 30 years of service and was a member of Living Waters Ministry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Ginnery; sisters, Annie Ruth Hall and Wanda Sue Merck; and brother, Charles Kelley.
Mrs. Ginnery is survived by her special friends and caretakers; Joy and Tim McKee, Rev. Billy Wright; brother and sister-in-law, W. F. and Frances Kelley; special niece, Wanda Weaver; several other nieces and nephews; and her little dog, Tiny.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ginnery will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Mason Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Alpine Cemetery.

Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Vinyard Pettyjohn, age 88 of the Teloga Community, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Pettyjohn was born in Jamestown, Alabama on December 24, 1928, daughter of the late James Andy Vinyard and Elsie Mae Chapman Vinyard. She was a member of the Pennville Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Ladies Group, and was retired from Best Manufacturing, receiving numerous service awards, and was a member of the Best Silver Club. Mrs. Pettyjohn loved sewing, gardening, canning, and going to yard sales, but “had her thumb in everything.” In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pettyjohn was preceded in death by her husband, Niklos J. Pettyjohn, Jr.; a brother, Charles Vinyard and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Shropshire.
Mrs. Pettyjohn is survived by a brother and sisters-in-law, Franklin “Cotton” and Betty Tucker Vinyard; special brother, Walter Hugh Vinyard; sisters and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Jerry Fortenberry, Lucille Shropshire and Marie Floyd; and a number of special nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Pettyjohn will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the Pennville Church of Christ with Minister Brad Hayes and Minister Frank Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Pettyjohn, Danny Wyatt, Gene Smith, Sandy Stephens, Tory Shropshire, James Floyd, Denny Vinyard, Sammy Pilgrim, Jeff Vinyard, Gary Gilreath, Maxine Searles and Bonnie Clowdis.
Mrs. Pettyjohn will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. On Saturday, Mrs. Pettyjohn will be carried to the Pennville Church of Christ where she will also lie in state from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
Following the graveside service, the family will gather at Mrs. Pettyjohn’s home for fellowship and refreshments.
