Mrs. Myrtle Ruth White, Obit (M)

Mrs. Myrtle Ruth White, age 71, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
 
Mrs. White was born September 14, 1945, in Cartersville, GA, daughter of the late Bradley and Mary Lou Collum Edwards.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Subligna Baptist Church.

Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Jerry White; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Nick Dimos; brothers, Jerry Edwards, Charles Edwards, and Eddie Edwards; sister, Karen Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services for Mrs. White will be held at 4:30 P.M. Friday, June 16, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Benny Price officiating.  Interment will follow in the Subligna Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Gene Martin, Jeremy Edwards, Yandell Park, Chris Cook, Brett Scott, and Allen Cooper.
 
Mrs. White will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Friday.

Mrs. Barbara Jean Gill Obit (M)

Mrs. Barbara Jean Gill, age 67, of LaFayette, GA, died Monday, June 12, 2017, at the home of her daughter.
 
Mrs. Gill was born May 10, 1950, in Fort Payne, AL, daughter of the late Joe Willis Galloway and Verna Virginia Shankles Galloway.  She attended the Faith Worship Center, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  Mrs. Gill was a loving mama, nanna, and mother-in-law.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Gill; sister, Beverly Green; brothers, Edward Galloway and Wayne Galloway.
 
Mrs. Gill is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Kenny Clark, Regina and Eric Hurley; brothers and sister-in-law, Danny and Andrea Galloway, Roger Galloway; sisters and brothers-in-law, Katherine and Bobby McCarty, Sandy Timmons and Brian Steele; grandchildren, Joshua and Tori Smallan, Joseph Smallan, Chelsey Smallan, Zack Clark, Katie Saine, Nathan Clark, and Erica Hurley; great-grandchild, Lawson Saine.
 
Funeral services for Mrs. Gill will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 16, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Swafford and Rev. Gary “Bucky” Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Kenny Clark, Joshua Smallan, Joseph Smallan, Eric Hurley, Danny Galloway, and Lake Smith.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Sitton, Donnie Smith, Doug Gill, and the staff at Harbin Clinic Dialysis Center of Summerville.

Mrs. Mona Lisa McCutchins Obit (Willis)

MS. MONA LISA McCUTCHINS – Age 60, of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Eula Mae London McCutchins and Mr. George McCutchins, brother, Al Ray McCutchins, sister, Anita McCutchins, and two nephews, Isaiah McCutchins and Trevor Montgomery.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike McGee; daughter, LaPorsche McCutchins (Marketia McMichael); very special grandson, DeKerious McCutchins; three sisters, Ann (Ronald) Montgomery, Vivian (Marcus) Wells, and Anna McCutchins, of Summerville, Georgia; two brothers, Juan (Jennifer) London and Tracy (Sandy) McCutchins of Atlanta, Georgia; one aunt, Ailene McCutchins; one uncle, Robert Leggins of Toledo, Ohio; very special friends, Shelia Stewart, Sarah Ruth Thompson, Elaine Hudgins, and Dot McDaniel; dear cousins, Frank McCutchins, Jr., Mark and Annette Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Service will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 1:00 P. M. at New Bethel Baptist Church, 281 Georgia Avenue, Summerville, Georgia,  with Apostle Jennifer London, Pastor Kevin Roach, and other ministers officiating.  Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A.M. and at the church one hour before the service.  Interment, Allgood Cemetery in Trion, Georgia.

Mr. Aubrey Eugene “Gene” Albertson Obit (M)

Mr. Aubrey Eugene “Gene” Albertson, age 79, of Summerville, GA, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Oakview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Albertson was born June 26, 1937, in Monticello, KY, son of the late Roy Albertson and Ora Lewis Albertson Windle.  He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and prior to his retirement, was self-employed in the construction industry.  Mr. Albertson was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Clint Albertson; and a sister, Dorothy Thompson.

Mr. Albertson is survived by his wife, Judie Albertson; children, Lonnie (Jullie) Albertson, Evan (Tammy) Albertson, Darrin (Terri) Albertson, Pam Sanders, Guy (Marcey) Albertson, Amy Albertson, Wendy (Andy) Howell, Douglas Albertson; brothers, Jack Albertson, Roy Albertson, and Randy Windle; sisters, Nancy Williams, and Judy Brown; grandchildren, Shelby Howell, Sophia Strickland, Kyle Albertson, Natasha Albertson, Junior Sanders, Summer Sanders, Curtis Brown, J. P. Brown, Kristin Albertson, Tiffany Bland, Taylor Singletary, Brian Pope, Misty Newsome, Morgan and Cierra Albertson; and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mr. Albertson will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 17, 2017, from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Bro. Leon Tucker officiating.

Mr. James Lee McGuire Obit (M)

Mr. James Lee McGuire, age 68, of Trion, GA, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017, at the Oakview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. McGuire was born August 31, 1948, in Summerville, GA, son of the late Ralph and Essie McGuire.  He enjoyed woodworking and watching Shepherd’s Chapel.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the textile industry.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte McGuire; and a sister, Shirley McGuire.

Mr. McGuire is survived by his wife, Linda McGuire; son and daughter-in-law, Merle and Mary McGuire; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Henry Millsap, Donna and Kim McGuire, Wanda and Michael Wright; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. McGuire will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. William “Billy” Mull, Obit (M)

Mr. William “Billy” Mull, age 89, of Summerville, GA, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
 
Mr. Mull was born December 18, 1927, son of the late Fred and Lena Mull.  He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed by Mount Vernon Mills.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Mull; sisters, Dorothy Mull and Betty Westbrooks; and a grandson, Jamey Mull.  He was faithful to his church and his Lord, and he loved to garden.
 
Mr. Mull is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Roger Farmer, Linda and Jackie Bowman; son, Gary Mull; grandchildren, Gerald Mull, Angie Mull, Jeremy Bowman, Matthew Farmer, Michael Farmer, Leann Webb, and Caleb Mull; and 9 great-grandchildren.
 
Funeral services for Mr. Mull will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 3, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Wilborn and Rev. Ralph Sumner officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bowman, Matthew Farmer, Michael Farmer, Dustin Webb, and Jimmy Mull.

Mrs. Barbara G. Hanson Complete Obit (ER)

 MRS. BARBARA G. HANSON, age 81, of Goodwin Drive, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, in a Rome hospital.  A native of California, She was born on June 8, 1935.  Mrs. Hanson was a member of the Summerville First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, the late Wayne Louis Hanson on July 15, 2015.

Surviving are daughter & son-in-law, Christi and Tommy Cox; son & daughter-in-law, Ricky and Donna Hanson; several Grandchildren also survive.

Memorial service will be held Monday, June 5th, at 7:00 P.M. from the Summerville First Baptist Church with Dr. Paul Mason officiating, interment in Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.  The Family will receive friends Monday, at the Church, from 6;00 P.M. until the hour of service.

Mr. Albert Reynolds “Cotton” Ingle Obit (M)

Mr. Albert Reynolds “Cotton” Ingle, age 90, of Jamestown, AL, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the Cherokee Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Ingle was born December 3, 1926, in Menlo, GA, son of the late John W. and Rosa Reynolds Ingle.  He served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church # 1, and prior to his retirement, was employed with General Electric.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Grace Ingle; sisters, Bertha Mitchell and Gertrude Maples; brothers, T. J. Ingle, Wesley Ingle, Billy Ingle, and Ernest Ingle.

Mr. Ingle is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gwynne and Nancy Ingle; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Phil Whisenant; a brother, Earl Ingle; grandchildren, Kristy Hammond, Monica Whisenant, and Trent Whisenant; great-grandchildren, CarolAnn Cash and RosaLee Hammond.

Funeral services for Mr. Ingle will be held at 2:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Friday, June 2, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Berry and Rev.
