Memorial services for Mrs. Hattie Patterson will be held at Cedar Springs

Baptist Church on Sunday, May 5th at 3:00 pm. She was a member of 

Cedar Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Broderick 

Bateman (Michelle), Brittan Bateman (Teicher), Five grandchildren, one

brother, Curtis Hudgins (Edna), Three sisters, Annie Martin, Myrtle Price,

and Ramona Hudgins, Six nephews and one niece, Three sisters in law,

Moselle Patterson, Cora Patterson, Edna Hudgins, Two brothers in law,

Leslie and Elvin Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband

Emmanuel Patterson four years ago.

MR. JERRY R. FRADY, age 73, of Fish Hatchery Road, Summerville, Georgia

passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013.  A native of Lyerly, Georgia He was 

born to the late Herman Walker and Emily Everet Frady on May 12, 1939.  

Mr. Frady was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of American Legion 

Post #129 and retired from G. T. E. in 1995.  
 
Surviving are wife-Jamie Hughes Frady; daughters-Tammy Smith and Chasidy 

Frady both of Summerville, and Lori Mobbs of Cedar Bluff, AL.; brother and 

spouse-Charles and Kathryn Frady of Summerville.
 
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill 

Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Pledger 

and Brother Paul Martin officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery.  Active 

Pallbearers-Josh Brooks, Rusty Dooley, Steve Dyer, Kevin Scoggins, Jeremy 

Heathcock, and Jim Hill; Honorary Pallbearers Tom Dooley, Jim Woodard, Herb

Mrs. Lillian Melvine Stoker Gilbreath, 91, of Lafayette, Georgia passed away

Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 19, 1921 

to the late Wyley and Mary Stoker in Teloga, Georgia. She was of the Baptist

faith, a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, retired from E.T. Barwick

and she enjoyed gardening and quilting.

She was also preceded in death by her Husband, William Cooper Gilbreath,

Brothers, Oscar, Ray, James and Jack Stoker, Sisters, Bessie Durham and

Anna Stoker.

Survivors include her Children, Douglas (Carolyn) Gilbreath and Carolyn

(Clint) Durham, both of Lafayette, Sister, Myrtle (Lilton) Johnson of Mentone,

4 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. The

funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel

with Rev. Lowell Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in Shaw Cemetery.

Mrs. Lillian Melvine Stoker Gilbreath, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at her residence. She was born Aug. 19, 1921 to the late Huston and Mary Stoker in Teloga, Ga. MS. VERTICE BOLDS – Of Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at her residence. She was a member of Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.  She was a retired teacher from Chattooga County Schools for fifteen years, taught in the Calhoun, Georgia School System, Rome City Schools, and the Arkansas Public Schools.  Ms. Bolds was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Early and Mrs. Meadie Westfield Bolds, three brothers, and one sister.

Survivors are her loving family, one sister, Charles Regina Bolds Cosby of Kings Park, New York; two brothers, Clyde (Gloria) Bolds of Atlanta, Georgia, James Bolds of Summerville, Georgia; sister-in-law, Mrs. Louise Bolds of New Bern, North Carolina; one aunt, Mrs. Bobbie Lander of Texas; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

MR. LATHANIEL DUNAWAY, age 86, of Halls Valley Drive, Trion, Georgia 

passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his residence.  Native to Monroe, 

Georgia, He was a son of the late Clarence Lyzander and Irene Hardigree Dunaway.

 He was a member of the Trion First United Methodist Church, served in the 

U.S. Navy during WW II, and was retired rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. 

 Mr. Dunaway was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Haygood Dunaway 

on July 8, 2004, and a sister the late Glenda Bennett.
 
Surviving are daughter-Ellen (Allen) Adair of Marietta; son-Barry (Susan)

Dunaway of Calhoun; sister-Sherry Watkins of Douglasville; grandchildren-Robby 

and Joey Dunaway, Emily, Claire, and Anna Faith Adair.
 
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27th, at 2:00 P.M. from the 

J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. David 

Autry and Rev. Jennifer Andone officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Sandra Ellen Edwards Fuller, age 65, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Fuller was born in Summerville, Georgia on November 23, 1947, daughter of the late John Carlton Edwards and Mozelle Norton Edwards. She was employed as an accountant with Rome Printing Company and was a member of the Duos and Solos Square Dance Club in Ft. Payne. Mrs. Fuller enjoyed spending time with her family, loved to garden especially flowers and was an avid square dancing enthusiast.

Mrs. Fuller is survived by her husband, Darwyn Fuller; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Dusty Edwards; step-sons, Brad (Kim) Fuller and Marcus Fuller; brother, Johnny Edwards; sisters, Wanda Groover, Sheila Flood; grandchildren, Sydnie Edwards and McKinley Fuller; Uncle, A.L. Norton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 5 until 7 P.M. at the Mason Funeral Home. At other hours, the family may be contacted at their respective residences.

Private Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013.

Mrs. Veda Nell Simmons, age 68 of Summerville, GA died Sunday, April 21,

2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Simmons was born September 23, 1944, the daughter of the late Calvin

Warren Boyles and Audrey Lorene Pace Boyd.  She was a homemaker.  Other

than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Lee Broyles.

Survivors include her husband, Carlton Simmons; sons, James Warren Simmons

and Jerrel Wayne Simmons; step-mother, Opal Broyles; sisters, Brenda Faye

Lands, Wileen Bryant, and Diane Pace; grandchildren, Jamie Simmons,

Marissa Simmons and Calvin Simmons.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. EST Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at

Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Morrison officiating.  Graveside

services will be held at 3:00 p.m. EST at Union Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers

will be Donnie Treadaway, Richard Barnett, Dennis Lands, Jeremy Lands,

Daniel Wooten, and Daryl Ward.

Mrs. Simmons will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will
