Mr. Ernest Erwin "Ernie" Tucker, age 80 of Summerville, GA died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Tucker was born April 28, 1929 in Jamestown, AL, the son of the late Jesse Hinton and Cora Frances Deering Tucker.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea.  Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by 3 Sisters and 5 Brothers.

Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife to whom he was married for 63 Years, Kathy Tucker; son, Ron Tucker; grandson, Michael Henderson; granddaughter, Amber Tucker Wells, great grandson, Brayden Wells; sister Jane Tucker; and several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Mason Funeral Home.

Mr. Ernest Dean Tapp, age 58 of Dalton, passed away at Erlanger Medical Center on March 13, 2010.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Tapp, mother and father Leroy and Effie Tapp, brother Johnny Tapp, and son-in-law Johnny Rangel.

Survivors include his wife Linda Tapp of the residence; daughter and son-in-law Sebrina and John McCrickard of Summerville, Sheila and Bobby Williams of Dalton, Missy Rangel of Dalton.  Son and daughter-in-law Chris and Jennifer Tapp of Trion, Charles and VickieChampion of Ohio and Dewayne Langley of Dalton. Sisters and brother-in-law Judy and Johnny Wooten, Rhonda and Bobby Smith all of Summerville.  Seventeen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Also survived by all of his co-workers at Lyles Industry in Dalton.

 Funeral service will be Monday, March 15, 2010, at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Center Valley Cemetery in Chatsworth, GA.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 5-9 P.M.

Mrs. Shirley Jean Nelson, age 63, of Summerville, GA, passed away Saturday March 13, 2010, at her residence. Mrs. Nelson was born September 28, 1946, in Summerville, GA, the daughter of the late Albert "Tub" and Vinnie Lucille Green Dover. She was a member of the Trion Church of God of Prophecy, a selfless and loving mother and wife, raising two wonderful children and a grandbaby. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Dover. Survivors include her husband, Robert Larry Nelson, son & daughter-in-law, Adam Carl and Angela Nelson, Lafayette, GA, daughter, Candace Gail Nelson, Summerville, GA, adopted son, David Schmitt. brothers & sister-in-law, Marvin Dover, Thomas & Nell Dover, Roy Dover, all of Summerville, GA, sisters & brother-in-law, Brenda Gail Wilson, Summerville, GA, Peggy Janice & Clint Boss, Swainsboro, GA, grandson, Avery Adam Nelson, several neices and nephews also survive Mrs. Shirley Jean Nelson. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday March 15, 2010 from the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Bishop Phillip Minter officiating with interment in the West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Jack Doyle Warren, age 58 of Milton Drive in Summerville passed away Monday afternoon at his residence.  A Summerville native, Mr. Warren was born to the late Jack Warren and Ann Abernathy Warren Martin who survives.  Jacke was an LPN working in Trion, Chattooga and Northwest Regional Hospitals before retirement.

Surviving are his mother and step father,  Ann Abernathy and Bill Martin of Summerville; sister, Brenda Bearden of Summerville; brother, Billy Martin, Jr. of Summerville; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Marie Sutton of Rockmart.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 2 PM from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home.

MRS. VIRGINIA SPAIN BULLARD, age 77, of Saratoga Way-Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday morning at Her residence. Born in Summerville, Georgia on November 25, 1932 she was a daughter of the late Jimmie and Gertrude Norton Spain. Mrs. Bullard was a member of Lyerly First Baptist Church, was retired from the tufting department of Georgia Rug Mill, enjoyed part time teaching and was preceded in death by Her husband the late Bennie L. Bullard on January 28, 1990 and an infant son the late Kenneth Bullard on July 24, 1951.

Surviving are daughter & son-in-law Debbie and Kenneth Jennings of LaFayette; sons & daughters-in-law Dennis & Lisa Bullard and Steve & Mary Katherine Bullard all of Summerville; Grandchildren and spouses: Ken and Terri Jennings, Stephen and Jessica Jennings, Chris and Ashley Bullard and Charlie Bullard; five Great Grandchildren; sister-Phyllis Spain of Summerville; brother & sister-in-law Douglas & Allene Spain of Subligna; several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Waydell Howell and Rev. Kenneth Jennings officiating, interment in Lyerly Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Adam Spain, Carey Maney, David Fletcher, Sr., David Fletcher, Jr., Larry Norton and Travis Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be friends and neighbors of Saratoga Apartments. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the Funeral Home. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Gideons International or the charity or church of your choice.

Mr. Kenneth M. “Kenny Bo” Brown, age 61 of the Berryton Community, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center. 

Mr. Brown was born in Trion, Georgia on November 14, 1948, son of the late Max McKinley Brown and Mary Eva Miller Brown. He was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he served as a Deacon, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to ill health, Mr. Brown was employed in the textile industry.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Betty L. Brown of Summerville; Daughter and Son-in-law, Cristy Lynn Thackerson and Jeff Ward of Menlo; Brothers and Sister-in-law, Bobby and Glenn Ann Brown of Natchez, Mississippi and Anthony Ladon Brown of Summerville; 2 grandchildren, Kevin Thackerson and Bailey Wayne Thackerson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment Services for Mr. Brown will be held Monday, March 8, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Green Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Edward Skoretz officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Family plot.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Thackerson, Mike Wilson, Kelly Koonce, Steve Gross, Rusty Dooley and Charles Chamlee. Honorary Pallbearers will be Casey Brown, Tom Layman, Billy Morris, Richey Brown, Lance Brown, Bob Naughton and Jerry Miller.

Mr. Brown will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
