Mrs. Ruth Orene Martin, age died Friday, December 12, 2008 at Shepherd Hill’s Health CareCenter in LaFayette, GA. Mrs. Martin was born December 15, 1934, in Dekalb, AL. the daughter of the late GroverCleveland and Minnie Eleanor Clark Wright. She was a member of the Mt.View Baptist Church, and preceded in death by husband, Winfield “Deed” Martin, son, Glenn Allen Martin, Grandson, Michael A. Martin, son-in-law, James Duffee. Survivors include her children, Winfield & Brenda Martin, Lisa Duffee, Sherry & Mike Organ,Paula Martin, brothers, Carmen Wright, Paul Wright, Alvis Wright, Fred Wright, James Wright, sisters, Catherine Chamlee, Elsie Cooper, Jane Bishop, grandchildren, Danielle Martin & Matthew Hyde, Cheryl Duffee, James Duffee, Jr., Joshua Duffee, Winfield Martin, Jr., Amanda Benefield, Crystal Godwin, Melanie Martin, great-grandchildren, Morgan Scott Martin, Garrison Martin, Kevin Benefield, Brianna Benefield, Shay Benefield, Levi Benefield, Kayla Martin, Bailey Martin, Braden Martin, Jared Godwin, Isabella Godwin, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 16, 2008 from the Mt View Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Norton and Rev. Ricky Biddle officiating with interment in the Greenhills Memory Garden. Mrs. Lynda Sue Ash, age 46, of Summerville, GA., passed away Thursday December 11, 2008, at her residence.

Mrs. Ash was born May 4, 1962, in Dalton, GA., the daughter of Mattie Pace Bedwell and the late Luther Bedwell, Sr. She was a member of the Chelsea Baptist Church and a machine operator with Shaw Industries. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Sue Ash, and a brother, David H. Bedwell.

Survivors include her husband, Deward Ray (Bud) Ash, children, Anthony Lynn (Gwen) Ash, Theodore Scott Ash, Belinda Rendon, Sonya Renee Payton, Summerville, GA., Rhonda Darlene (Frankie) Battles, Talladega, AL., mother, Mattie Bedwell, Chatsworth, GA., brother, Luther Bedwell, Jr., Oregon, sisters, Judy Bedwell, Barbara (Mike) Moore, Chatsworth, GA., Nancy Phan, Calhoun, GA., Betty Jo Bedwell, New Orleans; 12 Grandchildren; 4 Great-grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews; and special friends, Members of Chelsea Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 13, 2008, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Tapp and Rev. Steve Spears officiating with interment in the Garrett Cemetery. Mr. Bill Kitchens, age 66, of Cambell Cresant Circle-Summerville, Ga, passed away Thursday morning at his residence following an extended illness. Native to Chattooga County, he was born to the late John Wes and Gladys Sitton Johnson on March 28, 1942. Bill was a member of Maranatta Baptist Church, owner and operator of Duff’s Florist, and was piano player for the Stedfast Quartet.

Surviving are sister-Dorothy(Dot) Johnson of Trion; companion Wayne Forbs of Summerville; nieces and newphews Amy Parker fo Calhoun, Jimmy Nicholson of Trion, P.J. Guthrie of Florida; several Great Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Earle Rainwater Funeral Home.

Mr. James Edward “Eddie” Prince, age 55, of Summerville, GA died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Prince was born May 8, 1953 in Walker County, GA, the son of the late Charlie “Wayne” and Kathleen Hunter Prince. He was formerly employed with HCI and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Prince attended the Summerville Pentecostal Worship Center.

Mr. Prince is survived by 5 sisters, Linda Gail Howell, Barbara Nell Burnette, Dorothy Jean Hartline, Kathy Elaine Godfrey, and Donna Faye Perschau.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, December 11, 2008 from the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Hutchins officiating. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ricky Howell, Randall Burnett, Marvin Hartline, Mitchell Ward, Drake Perschau, and Reggie Burnette. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Corbin, Frankie Abernathy, and William Dobson.

Mr. Prince will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008.

Mr. Herman Lee Cash, age 83 of Centre passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 at his residence.

Graveside services will be 1:PM Saturday, December 6th at Cherokee Memory Gardens, with Rev. Joel Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:AM to 12:30 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Preston Cash, Andy Cash, Jackie Cash, Larry Russell, Eddie Smith, Bobby McKinney, Scott Creel and Greg Hurley.

Honorary Pallbearers include Jeff Russell, Craig Russell, Ronnie Floyd, Jimmy McKinney, Garry Steed, Greg Russell, Billy Elsberry, Jim McDonald and Terry Hurley.

Donations may be made to the Mountain Springs Cemetery Fund or the family will accept flowers.

Survivors include is wife, Lois Gwendolyn Russell Cash; Sister, Barbara Ann Jones of Forest Park, Ga.; Niece, Debbie (Charlie) Spillner of Fayetteville, Ga.; Nephew, Mike Jones of Forest Park, Ga. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Cash.

Mr. Cash was a native of Chattooga County, Ga., the son of the late Baxter Lee and Willie Belle Mathis Cash.

Wayne Edward Brady of Rose Circle in Trion passed away on December 1^st.  He was born October 2, 1972 the son of John Edward Brady and Mora Lee Chastain Durham.  He was a plumber and a member of Community Holiness Church.  He was preceded in death by grandparents, Cleo and Thelma Chastain and John Terryl Brady. Survivors include: father and stepmother, John and Rhoda Brady, Trion; mother, Nora Lee Chastain Durham of Pisgah, AL.  Former wife, Debbie Paulette Edgeworth Nance; 4 brothers: Mike Sellers, Reidsville, GA, Terry Sellers, Buford, Georgia, Sean and Jacob Brady of Trion; 3 sisters: Margie Cordel, Watuga, TN, Luann Glenn and Diane Covington of Trion; grandmother: Casie McNair of Summerville; several aunts and uncles nieces and nephews and cousins survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday December 4^th at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Erwin Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Edgeworth officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are requested to meet at the Funeral Home on Thursday December 4^th at 1:30 PM and include the following: John William Brady, James Terryl Brady, George Covington, Michael Blackmon, John Marmet & Larry Blackmon. Mr. Brady will lie in state at Erwin-Pettit Funeral Home on Wednesday December 3^rd where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM. Erwin – Petitt Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gladys R. Hall, age 91 of Milton Circle in Summerville, passed away Sunday night in the local nursing home.  She was born on June 12, 1917, was a Methodist by Faith, and was preceded in death by her husband, the late Lee Hall and a daughter the late Linda Hill.

Surviving are grandaughter and spouse – Tonya & John Wayne Stowe, great grandaughter – Katlin Montgomery all of Trion, son in law Joe Hill of Summerville, Sisters – Hilda Brown of Summerville and Lloyd Sentell of Menlo – several neices and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 3 at 1:30 PM from the J. D. Hill  Memorial Chapel of the Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Adams officiating.  Intement in the Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers: Dennis Bandy, Tony Evett, Donnie Hall, Tony Jones, Joe Reed and Ronnie Winters; honorary pallbearers – The Staff of the Oakview Nursing Home & Rehab Center.
