Members of the Chattooga High School Class of 1988 are being invited to reconnect later this month for a mini-reunion and planning meeting as preparations begin for the class’s upcoming 40th reunion.
The gathering is scheduled for Friday, August 21, at 5:30 p.m. at Dos Magueys Mexican Restaurant in Summerville.
Organizer Jerry McNair said the event will serve as a pre-reunion planning meeting, giving classmates an opportunity to discuss details for the Class of 1988’s 40th reunion and identify volunteers interested in serving on a reunion committee.
The Class of 1988 will mark 40 years since graduation in 2028. McNair said previous reunions over the years have provided opportunities for classmates to share memories, renew friendships and celebrate their years at Chattooga High School.
Following the August 21 gathering, classmates may also attend the Chattooga High School football game against the LaFayette Ramblers, depending on individual availability.
Organizers say the evening itself should feel like a mini-reunion as classmates gather for dinner, conversation and reunion planning.
Family members and children are also welcome to attend. Those planning to participate are asked to respond to the event organizer with the number of people attending so arrangements can be coordinated with the restaurant.
The gathering is being organized by Jerry McNair and CHS Indians of 1988.
