The Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division has released the 2026-2027 Georgia Hunting and Fishing Regulations and Seasons Guide, giving hunters and anglers an updated resource ahead of the upcoming outdoor seasons.

The combined guide includes the latest season dates, bag limits, licensing requirements, Wildlife Management Area regulations, quota hunt information, and youth hunting opportunities. Anglers will also find freshwater and saltwater fish identification charts, trout stream listings, Public Fishing Area information, state record fish listings, and updated fishing regulations.

Several updates are highlighted in this year’s guide, including changes to certain catfish regulations, revised bass limits at some Public Fishing Areas, a new statewide definition of “youth” as anyone under 16 years of age, an early antlerless-only firearms deer season in select counties, new deer carcass disposal requirements, and authorization for hunters to wear blaze pink anywhere blaze orange is required.

The guide is available online through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources website, and printed copies can be picked up at Wildlife Resources Division offices and participating license vendors across the state.
