Mrs. Kathy Diane Blackmon, age 66 of Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at a Rome hospital.

Mrs. Blackmon was born in Copper Hill, Tennessee on August 4, 1958, daughter of the late Clarence Coleman and Agnes Maxine Tankersley Carter. She was a member of the Old Way Baptist Church and was retired from the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed crafting, painting and making ceramics. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blackmon was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Blackmon; grandson, Logan Watson; sister, Linda White; and brothers, David Coleman and Wayne Coleman.

Mrs. Blackmon is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Robert Watson; sons, Terry Lynn, Jr. and Brian Lynn; brothers and sister-in-law, Allen “Bruce” and Jessica Coleman and Roger Coleman; grandchildren, AJ and Taylor Greene, Shaunda and Matthew Greene, Gabriel and Maggie Watson, Brianna and James Mullican, Corey Wilson, Railee Lynn, Keeley Lynn and Brady Lynn; great grandchildren, Logan, Samuel, Knolan, Emmalynn, Anakin, Roman, Kayden and Daxton; an Uncle, Walter Tankersley; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Blackmon will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Thompson officiating. Interment will be at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday at the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery in McCaysville, GA.

Mrs. Blackmon’s family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 4:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
