MRS. MARTHA FRANCIS LULA BELLE (LOU) SMITH, 85, of Lyerly, Georgia, passed away Tuesday evening, July 2, 2024, in a Rome hospital. Native to Sylvania, Alabama, She was born on January 18, 1939 to the late M. D. and May Lee Whitton Fairris. Mrs. Smith a member of Wayside Baptist Church and retired from Textile work in 2001. In addition to Parents, She was preceded in death by first husband, the Late Billy Ray Waldrop and sons, the Late Anthony Ray Waldrop, Curtis Waldrop, and Brad Waldrop.

Surviving are husband, Charles Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie (Patty) Waldrop, Jeff Waldrop, and Nancy Waldrop; grandchildren, Cherish (Chris) Sutherland, Ron (Beth) Waldrop, Kyla (John) Condra, David Whitley, Joshua (Jackie) Fox, Jeffery (Dixie) Waldrop, Jr., Amanda Stark, Anthony (Maddie) Waldrop, Lucas- (Callie) Waldrop; 23 Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held Friday, July 5th, at 3:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Brother Hoyt Gilreath and Brother Chris Gibson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1 until 3 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
