The Summerville Police Department is investigating the theft of wheels and tires from a vehicle at a local auto dealership.

According to the incident report, the theft involved a white 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer located at a dealership property on Martin Street. The stolen property was listed as four wheels and tires removed from the vehicle.

Police documented the theft and advised the vehicle owner that the case would be turned over to investigators. Officers also indicated that extra patrols would be conducted in the area as the investigation continues.

No suspects had been identified at the time of the report, and the case remains under investigation by the Summerville Police Department.

The Summerville Police Department is investigating a theft involving tools that were reportedly taken from a vehicle in the Summerville Gardens area.

According to the incident report, the theft occurred at a residence on Summerville Gardens Drive. Police documented offenses of theft by taking and entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft.

The victim reported that several tools were missing, including three crescent wrenches, an Allen wrench set, four screwdrivers, two channel locks, and a crimp tool. The report also noted the theft of approximately $100 worth of brass and copper. The total estimated value of the stolen property was about $300.

According to the officer’s narrative, the victim indicated some of the items may have been stolen from the Walmart parking lot. The case was forwarded for further investigation, and the victim was advised to file a report with the appropriate agency if the incident occurred at Walmart.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Two Men Accused Of Stealing Tractors From Rome Assembly Plant

Two men have been arrested on felony theft charges after allegedly stealing tractors and a trailer from TYM North America’s facility on Cedartown Highway in Rome.

According to arrest warrants, 51-year-old Jason Matthew Stewart of Cave Spring and 58-year-old Travis Leslie Patterson of Rome are accused of taking two tractors and a trailer from the facility on May 20.

Authorities said each tractor was valued at $15,000, while the trailer was valued at $1,500.

TYM North America’s Rome operation is part of the company’s agricultural equipment manufacturing and assembly network. The Cedartown Highway facility was previously associated with Branson Tractors before TYM expanded its North American operations, including a multi-million-dollar investment in the Rome location.

Both men were charged with felony theft by taking.
