The Trion Farmers Market is open this morning with another selection of locally made foods, produce and homemade favorites.

The market is held at the pavilion near the track field in Trion, off Simmons Street, giving residents an opportunity to shop locally and support area growers and vendors.

Among the items available today are fried pies, chicken salad, muscadines, peanut brittle, cashew brittle, no-bake cookies and cornflake candy.

Shoppers can also find Granny Parker Pickles, other pickles, relish, salsa, Zippy, jams and jellies, pickled Vidalia onions, pickled eggs and pickled okra.

The Trion Farmers Market has become a regular Thursday stop for residents looking for locally produced foods, homemade treats and specialty items.

Residents are encouraged to stop by the pavilion near the track field off Simmons Street in Trion this morning and support local vendors.

The Trion Farmers Market returns today, Thursday, July 16, offering shoppers another opportunity to purchase fresh, locally grown produce and handmade products from area vendors.

The market will be open at the pavilion near the track field off Simmons Street in Trion.

This week’s selection includes fresh tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and potatoes, along with locally raised beef and pork. Shoppers will also find homemade treats including brittle, no-bake cookies, Pecan Tessies, fried pies and sourdough starter.

A variety of canned and specialty items will also be available, including pickles, relish, salsa, jams and jellies, and pickled eggs. Vendors will also be offering handcrafted products such as pain cream, hair oil, bug spray, salves and tinctures. Ice cream will also be available.

The Trion Farmers Market is held each Thursday and provides residents an opportunity to support local farmers, bakers, artisans and small businesses while purchasing fresh products produced throughout the region.

Fresh, locally grown produce and homemade products will once again be available Thursday as the Trion Farmers Market welcomes shoppers from 8 a.m. until noon at the pavilion near the Trion Track Field off Simmons Street.

This week’s market is expected to feature sweet corn, green beans, Super Sauce, Roma, San Marzano and cherry tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, beans, okra, yellow squash, fresh eggs, grass-fed beef and pork. Shoppers can also find homemade blueberry muffins, zucchini bread, jams, jellies, squash relish, chow chow, bread and butter pickles, candied jalapeños, salsa, lemonade, strawberry lemonade, chocolate no-bake cookies, chocolate chip cookies and a variety of herbal products including creams, lip balm, oils, tinctures, herbal sprays, Bug-Off spray and salves.

The Trion Farmers Market is held every Thursday throughout the growing season, giving residents an opportunity to support local farmers, bakers and artisans while purchasing fresh, locally produced goods.

Residents looking for fresh produce and locally made goods can mark their calendars for next Thursday, June 4th, as the Trion Farmers Market kicks off its new season.

The market will open at 8 AM and will be held each Thursday from 8 AM until noon at the pavilion near the Trion Track Field.

Shoppers can find fresh produce, jams, jellies, relishes, salsa, and other locally made items throughout the season.

Local producers who would like to participate are welcome to come set up at the Trion Farmers Market.
