Trion City Schools has been recognized with the 2025–2026 GAEL Vision Award, an honor that highlights school districts across Georgia that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting and encouraging professional development for educators.
The Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL) presents the Vision Award to districts that actively invest in leadership growth and professional learning opportunities for teachers, administrators, and staff at all levels.
Educational leaders from across the state gather each year at the GAEL Winter Conference, a major event that focuses on professional learning, leadership development, and education policy discussions that help shape the future of Georgia’s schools. Being selected for the Vision Award places Trion City Schools among the state’s leading districts in supporting educator growth and leadership development.
As part of the recognition, Mrs. Angie Bowman had the opportunity to present during the 2025–2026 GAEL Conference alongside Katie Bennett, a Let’s Read, Georgia coach.
Their presentation highlighted the instructional framework behind Trion City Schools’ collaboration with NWGA RESA and Let’s Read Georgia coaching support, which is designed to help strengthen teaching practices and improve student outcomes across the district.
Bowman’s presentation focused on the district’s ongoing commitment to building strong instructional systems and partnerships that support both educators and students, demonstrating how collaboration and targeted professional development can drive school improvement.
School leaders say the recognition reflects the district’s continued focus on investing in its teachers and creating systems that support high-quality instruction throughout Trion City Schools
